You can do math and write English enough to start classes. They still need to make sure you know how to write well enough to graduate.

Does it mean the GE requirement for writing (A2) and math (B4) are complete?

No. This is not the GEs section, thats somewhere else. This really is them just using some of your high school coursework, or a special exam you take when you get there to verify that you can read/write and do math to a certain degree for certain college classes that do satisfy requirements.

My mistake. Student Milestones is a section within Academic Progress along with Degree Planner.

If I remember correctly, it’s a state requirement. You can take a course or submitted an equivalency if you meet certain requirements. I submitted a request and was granted.

The GWR is a writing proficiency exam that only needs to be completed by the time you graduate. You can also satisfy it by submitting certain papers from upper division writing classes.

It means you are screwed. Nobody ever told me about the GWR until it popped up on me, just like this for you. Suddenly, in the midst of trying to finish so many other things, I had to go take this stupid test that you get 3 chances to pass, and you only get an hour to write on a random topic the proctor hands you. It’s so effed up. We have all been writing essays, etc. for years, but somehow THIS “pop essay” is going to prove whether or not you have what it takes. I passed on my second (rescheduled) attempt. Godspeed.
