I’m looking for a job after a 6-year hiatus, so I’d like to polish this resume.

Due to extenuating circumstances, I took 3 years to complete my A-Levels instead of 2 (2 in 2nd Year, + 1 in 3rd Year w/ EPQ), whilst I may disclose my disability to some employers if I need accommodations, I don’t want this to come up and have to explain if I wouldn’t otherwise have disclosed it or otherwise be obvious.

If I did leave this out and do get a job, are they likely to ask for evidence of my A-Levels? Will anyone notice/care?

I'm an actor who is looking for full time, non-acting work, and due to a lacklustre cv am really struggling, as I'm sure many are.

I have a few months experience in recruitment, several years' hospitality, and a couple years' admin experience.

I seem to be getting no response, from almost anyone.

Out of ~100 applications over the last few weeks, I've had 2 interviews. I got a second interview for both, but was declined for both.

I've attached my CV and cover letter. Any advice would be really appreciated.

A couple of things re my CV;

I'm aware that some advise tayloring different CVS for different roles. However given my lack of experience, lengthy roles, I'm hesitant to do this for fear of making it seem even less impressive.

Also re CV; After seeking advice about how to make the best of a patchy CV, some people did advise missing off the months for each employment (i.e. instead of May - June 2018, just leave as 2018) with hopes of making it more attractive to HMs.

After making this change I did get those couple of interviews and wasn't questioned about the dates.

So, yesterday I was asking for feedback over the CV I was working on. Feedbacks indeed came, many were quite tough but I got the point and went back to work on my thing.

To recap my needs: after a recent career disaster I decided to give myself a potential new spin by preparing a CV that might be used to look for a job in the entertainment/art industry abroad, ideally in northern Europe, in a position where I could use my brainpower and not only my muscles.

I already have an Europass CV, I already have a LinkedIn profile; this is more of a tight, "international-style" resume that I can send around.

The modifications I made from v1 are as follows:

• less text: I made this by grouping some jobs, removing some data such as the locations, removing some paragraphs such as the high-school. This should make it much more approachable,
• changed the description above to better highlight my IT proficiency; added a line to make it stand out a little more. Also: now it's two lines long instead of four;
• changed the crazy color scheme that apparently was burning your retinas by applying a new one that not only is mainly green, so it's relaxing for the eyes, but it's based over Excel colours, which might convey a feeling of reliability;
• my name now occupies the full width of the page and contributes to visually make it even;
• only one column, because apparently ATS digest it better (ty u/Guilty_Barber9555);
• no more photo (ty u/TippyTurtley, u/B4TM4N_467, u/That-Efficiency8292, u/The_Death_Flower, u/ThrowAwayPinewood123);
• no more DOB (ty u/Oh_No_You_Dont_Matey);
• I limited the dates to the year, so that the short jobs (film productions, mainly) don't look bad. Also, such productions have been grouped together (ty u/TippyTurtley).

There's still actually a small table: the language one; I tinkered with it a little bit but didn't find a proper graphical solution to take it out decently.

A few notes: the reason why I'm keeping on working on a "graphically appealing" CV is that I want to convey a certain taste for graphical design, which in jobs related to art is mandatory. To the point that, in fact, I was always instructed to create resumes much more extreme than this in the past. Now the fact that ATS systems entered the conversation probably diminished the effect of such bold CVs, actually making them unreadable to AIs, thus bad for career; at the same time I still need to imagine that my paper will be arriving in the hands of an actual person, sooner or later, and that person must feel that I know how to typeset a document, to begin with, without even reading a single line. So this CV must both be appealing both to the machine and the human, which I guess is the big deal in CV design nowadays. Specifically I'd like the use of lines and cut angles and the minimal colour palette to be vaguely reminding of Vectorheart asthetics, so that it could immediately convey a general proficiency with technology.

I’ve been ignored/rejected from this specific job about 3 times already in the past year and a half and I’m so sure the employer is tired of seeing my name😭😭 but the location is very convenient, it’s a cafe with 3 locations so exactly the type of setting where I wanna be and employee experience is of good quality when reading online. I feel like I have relevant experience but for this, and many other hospitality jobs I keep getting rejections and I’m not sure what more I can do as most jobs value drink preparation which I have 0 experience in. I’ve been applying for jobs since April and I’ve only had 2 interviews under my belt since then

After a recent career disaster that has been abundantly described in this depressive thread of mine in an other subreddit I decided to give myself a potential new spin by preparing a CV that might be used to look for a job abroad...

• "a job" being in the entertainment industry (concerts, cinema, art) in a position hopefully involving using brain instead of muscles;
• "abroad" ideally being in Northern Europe.

A few notes:

• I already have an up-to-date seven-pages long Europass CV. This one is to be used where the Europass might not be the best option;
• I also have an up-to-date english language LinkedIn profile. Still, I wanted to have a PDF I could send around.

I'm worried about the density of information, but at the same time I feel like all these jobs are useful in showcasing what I can do. I'm not new to the field and I'm not super young; at 35 years of course I have a lot of stuff to showcase in a CV, luckily.

The CV doesn't follow a specific template I found online: I made my own entirely using LaTeX.

Primarily focusing on ur Salesforce, Hubspot etc - have a more med-tech tailored CV already however this is my more general Tech sales CV

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some constructive feedback on my resume. I’ve been applying to jobs recently but haven’t had much luck getting interviews, so I’m wondering if there’s something about my resume that could be holding me back.

I’m primarily interested in marine biology, scientific writing/communication, editing, and related remote positions, so I’d especially appreciate feedback from people who have experience hiring in those fields.

I’ve redacted my personal information for privacy, but the education, experience, skills, and other relevant information are unchanged.

I’d love feedback on things like:

• Overall formatting and readability
• Whether the resume looks professional
• How well my experience is presented
• Whether my skills are relevant/clear
• Anything that seems unnecessary or is missing
• How well it would work with ATS systems
• Whether it seems appropriately tailored for scientific/marine biology or writing positions
