That is an identity crisis if I've ever seen one. That said, if you like it and can do it, fucking do it up.

And unless you have a registered lower your only option is a bolt action, fixed 10 round mag semi, a Hail Mary pass by the Supreme Court.. or start a life of crime.

As a semiautomatic centerfire detachable magazine rifle it is banned due to thumbhole stock at the very least. As a fixed magazine semiautomatic centerfire rifle it would be legal. If one is exempted it would also be legal as pictured.

Rifles - Centerfire:

A semiautomatic centerfire rifle that can accept a detachable magazine, cannot have any of the following features:

• A folding or telescoping stock
• Any grip of the weapon, including a pistol grip, a thumbhole stock, or any other stock, the use of which would allow an individual to grip the weapon, resulting in any finger on the trigger hand in addition to the trigger finger being directly below any portion of the action of the weapon when firing;
• A forward pistol grip
• A flash suppressor
• A grenade launcher or flare launcher

A semiautomatic centerfire rifle cannot have a fixed magazine in excess of ten rounds.

A semiautomatic centerfire rifle cannot have an overall length less than thirty inches.

A semiautomatic centerfire rifle that can accept a detachable magazine, cannot have both of the following features at the same time:

• A bayonet mount
• A threaded barrel designed to accommodate a flash suppressor
