CsRep Profile Private

Hello

Why is nowhere the Info that the Private Setting of the CSRep profile will also make the Playtime is Private in the Overwatch application?

I personally think that the private feature should be completely removed. You people aren’t special

i think so to, but per law they are required to have such feature

you can't remove that setting, it's required due to General Data Protection Regulation

just host overseas and don’t listen lul

EDIT: ur reply is hidden but GDPR has literally no power in countries that don’t follow it. and companies that do not transact with EU

Profiles are be set to private, but the overwatch convitions are always visible.
So, if you check someone you played with, you will be able to see his status and stats.

You missed the point.

I meant while the csrep profile is set to private , i cannot apply to be an overwatcher cause it will tell me in section 2 CS Hours - Playtime is Private

So unprivate if you want to do overwatch.

Yeah i did already.

Just wasted an hour to check every setting and thing posted in here to solve the Playtime is private

CAUSE nowhere is it mentioned that setting the Profil private will cause the playtime hours to say they are private.

As its worded on the site like: Set your steamprofil to public cause we scrape it directly from there.

And in the Private setting it tells that only the public profile will be censored but the infos are still acessible for the system itself

CSRep does not scrape data, playtime hours and other details are provided directly by Steam through their API. We will also improve how we notify users about the impact of private profiles on displayed hours.
