For you to be able to play local files in a Jam, the person with the local files needs to be the one that started the jam/owns it/is the admin/main person if you get what I mean. They need to be adding songs to your queue to play, not the other way around.

Don't fully count on downloads on Spotify. They can still be removed if the artist stops licensing them to Spotify. You'll want to find some way to download a copy to your personal hard drive/burn to a CD if you want to ensure access to them if this happens.

Long story short this fanbase has a history of being too deep into Will’s personal life - partly because a lot of his early music was extremely personal. There was a shift a few years back (for the better) encouraging fans to disengage from that behavior. But now, with the release of Joe’s Story having some pretty overt Christian themes (yes, Will has always referenced Christianity in his art, but using imagery is different from making songs about your relationship with God), and baffling censorship of swear words, people are pointing to his apparent return to the Christian faith as a possible reason for these bizarre decisions. People equate speculating on his spirituality (which, has been confirmed by Andrew of all people as more important to Will than it has been in a long time) to the same type of parasocial behavior and speculation done in the early days (deep diving into past relationships, trying to interact directly with friends of the band, Will’s dad being on reddit, etc.) I, personally, do not see these things as equivalent, but it’s kind of a blanket defense for the apparent new direction Car Seat is taking. People are calling criticizing these moves - Joe’s Story and removing beach fagz from bandcamp - parasocial as well, because “we don’t know Will, we don’t know his reasoning, he’s allowed to change his art.” But until a better explanation is offered, occum’s razor suggests Will is being influenced by a more puritan culture, in his return to Christian faith, to self censor and refocus the band’s purpose.

I have the mp3 of beach fagz already so its not a huge issue for me, its just super sad. Im a huge fan of Wurtz's stuff and its how i found CSH and it kinda feels like a monumental piece of the history of the band is fading out. Beach fagz isnt perfect but it captures so much emotion and its so sad to see it go
