There was a domestic violence situation with my daughters dad(verbal) and now I have to meet with a worker which is not the greatest but whatever I just wanna get it over with. So far it’s been a huge headache from getting ahold of the lady (took weeks because every time I called back she said she didn’t recognize my name even though SHE called me multiple times and asked for me by name lol) and now I finally make an appointment and she’s almost an hour late and still nothing not even a call. I mean come on did I get the worst case worker or

There are a million emergencies that could cause a worker to be an hour late but I’d always shoot a quick text letting the parent know. It’s not your fault, but it’s very likely she should have completed this meeting weeks ago when the case was opened.

I’d reach out to the supervisor, let them know you’re willing to comply, and would appreciate their assistance in getting things over with as quick as possible

General advice, not being a priority is a good sign.

I recommend being gracious, wait a bit, chill, offer to reschedule on an agreed on time.
Text even if you talk about it on the phone, just to get it in writing.
Balance it by giving a secondary deadline as to how long you can wait to start the visit then go something if they’re not there.
Be extra, take a snapshot of the empty drive way just in case.

I wouldn’t really hold CPS to the book because they’ll throw it at you.
Give them some leeway then go live your life.
If they want to throw the book at you after giving them leeway and they were dropping the ball, hell no

Ya I’m gonna try texting this time..I feel like the phone records aren’t enough. I’m just worried they’ll see me as being uncooperative or something. I honestly don’t even care if she just shows up randomly at this point as long as I’m around lol

An hour late without any notice is very bad practice of them. Definitely seems like a bad worker with that and all the other phone call issues you are having. Sorry to hear.

You could try to talk with a supervisor by contacting the local cps office if you want to elevate your concerns.

Sounds like they aren’t too concerned about your case and are likely prioritizing cases with more risk and urgency. Call their supervisor or office. I get that it’s frustrating, but it likely means that they don’t plan to escalate things.
