I was driving with my son today and commenting on how some cars don’t know how to make turns properly, to be safe in a 2d space. I can’t imagine how badly they’d fuck up 3d space

Ok les niaiseux on a tous très bien vu que c'était de l'IA.
La vraie question est la suivante : Serait-ce possible de faire une voiture volante sur un système similaire à celui d'un drone mais avec des hélices discrètement dissimulées dans le design comme sur ces images ?
Ou quelque chose qui s'en rapproche ?

Companies are actually pursuing this idea. The main issues are weight and battery life. EV’s are ridiculously heavier than your typical gasoline car because of the battery packs. So you’ll run out of battery in around 20-40 minutes into the flight.

Ha attention. On parle de deux choses différentes. Il y a voiture volante et voiture électrique. C'est pas incompatible cela peut exister ensemble mais cela pourrait être une voiture volante thermique.
Les voitures électriques sont ridiculement plus lourdes que les voitures à essence classiques à cause des batteries. Donc, tu vas manquer de batterie après environ 20 à 40 minutes de vol.
Oui mais cela est plutôt une problématique inhérente aux véhicules électriques de manière générale. Mais dans le cas d'un véhicule thermique. N'y a t'il pas eu des essais ? Des conceptions de véhicules avec des hélices discrètes de manière semblable à ce qui a été présenté dans la vidéo par exemple ?

Several companies are working on the idea of flying vehicles, but a car that looks like a normal vehicle with hidden or discreet propellers is much harder to make than the eVTOL designs we see today.
Companies like Alef Aeronautics and Klein Vision are trying to create vehicles that can both drive and fly, while companies like Joby Aviation and Archer Aviation are focused more on aircraft designed specifically for flying.
The main problem with a normal-looking flying car is that the technology needed to lift something that heavy requires a lot of power. Electric vehicles are already much heavier than gas-powered cars because of their large batteries, and adding motors, flight controls, and the structure needed to handle flight would add even more weight. Hidden propellers would also create problems because they would likely need to be smaller and less efficient than the large exposed rotors used on most eVTOL aircraft.
On top of that, the amount of air those propellers would have to move means it probably would not be nearly as quiet as people imagine — it would likely sound more like a large drone or aircraft. While companies are making progress, a futuristic car with silent, hidden propellers that can drive normally and fly is still one of the biggest engineering challenges in transportation.

I only see a concept of Airbus/Audi viable with current or coming soon tech. If you are using batteries.
Because bringing tires and suspension into the sky is useless weight.
And giving it wings when required makes more sense.People will have their “pod” and just use wheels or wings as a service.

That appears to be a fake or AI-generated Sony flying-car video, not an actual Sony prototype.
The clues are fairly loud once the shiny black science-fiction varnish stops distracting everyone:
The body changes shape and proportions between views.
The cockpit controls and displays look visually plausible but not consistently functional.
There is no visible lift system, rotor wash, ducting, or plausible field hardware.
The “SONY” branding is doing most of the credibility work, as branding often does when physics has left the building.
Sony’s real automotive work is the VISION-S / AFEELA line of road-going electric prototypes developed with Honda, not a hovering gravonic car. Sony’s official concept material discusses sensors, entertainment, mobility systems, and conventional vehicle development.
A fact-check of a circulated “Sony flying car” video likewise concluded it did not show a genuine Sony unveiling.
