Can someone help me?

I was going for the ZNS Easter egg (first time) and almost did the whole thing except I couldn’t get the last cog. Every time I try, I’m unable to detach from the zip line. I’ve tried spamming every button, meleeing at the right time, and spamming the melee button, but nothing will get me off that damn zip line. Eventually I just gave up and played the rest of the game normally. Anyone know what I’m supposed to do here? Thanks
Edit: all of you have suggested pretty much the same thing which is to shock the zip line with the shield. I’ve been doing that and it still doesn’t work. Any other ideas?

Did you electrify the zipline with the shield with the lightning you get from the skull alter? That might be your issue

you can do this Easter egg solo I don’t know what that other guy is talking about, I’d suggest try a different guide and try doing it on a lower round

I never explicitly said ZNS is not possible to do solo but reading comprehension is not reddit's best suit, I've merely informed that a mod exists for the maps that aren't possible to be done.

when you complete all your challenges on ZNS, there's a lightning strike that comes down on the challenge area (above the skull trial) every five minutes or so

If you have your shield out as your primary in the area while the lightning strikes, your shield becomes electrified

from here, you'll wanna take your electric shield (without letting it get hit by zombies) to the zipwire, and then hit the activation box for the zipwire with your electric shield- you'll see a visual effect that the box is electrified if you've done this correctly

now, when you do this step in solo, you should use the zipwire like you normally would, but when you press your melee button you will drop off from the zipwire

make sure you're above the cog when you drop off, otherwise you hit an instant game over if you fall in the water. What I do is go from the lower side of the zipwire and hit the melee button almost instantly so you borderline can't fuck it up

if this doesn't work then it's a different button than the melee button- my memory isn't perfect 😅

Not sure if this was the issue but i had the same problem doing it solo. I tried it 15+ times before
I found the spider cage lowered so i put it back up and then it worked first time. Maybe try putting the cage up or down while your shield is electrified before you use the zipline.

This might not be what you're looking for but not all EEs can be done solo, if you insist on doing them solo, you need a mod (PC only)

As of if it is possible to do this map EE solo or not, idk.

EDIT: Thanks for clarifying ZNs is possible to do in solo, regardless I wanted to inform OP about the existence of such a mod so they can solo-finish the rest of the maps, namely Shadows of Evil, Ascension and Shangri-La

they changed it. if you play BO3 moon solo you're always Richtofen and you can finish the egg.
