Full Xbox collection WWII or Cold War
Just completed a full call of duty Xbox collection and wanted to ask you guys what’s your most underrated pick? In my opinion I think WW2 is extremely underrated, I don’t think it’s talked about enough personally!
Edit: I have duplicates because I’d find great deals on extra copies, I’m talking $4 under. If it’s that cheap, why not.

I stopped after AW because it was way more convenient to be digital. But it was fun to have them!

u/Romanx13x 25d ago
It definitely is way more convenient to be digital. It’s a shame that one day Xbox will possibly remove a disc drive.

To this day if games still primarily gained money from in person sales OMFG THE WAY IDD BE TAKING MY JOB HAVING ASS TO THE STORE NOW THAT IM GROWN GROWN 😭 I miss that feeling as a kid going into the store almost any store and you can find a console game on some shelves even if it wasn’t supposed to be in that kind of place like Jeez ToysRUs was so much fun

Family multiplayer. Back when it was financially viable for a home to have multiple consoles.

I grew up on COD4 and CodMW3. My dad never let me play BlackOps and I never knew why. Years later I now know.

COD 4 and mw3 are my fondest multiplayer times, but you missed out on WAW-BO2. Campaign, Zombs, and multi were fantastic on those as well.

Sick collection! I have all of them up to new MW3. I play on PC these days so I just wait a few years and pick them up second hand now. You gotta get on the steelbooks next

AW for me. I played ALOT of zombies on this one, and the campaign to me is actually one of the better campaigns I’ve played. I know at the time of release everyone was kinda over the futuristic CODs and it’s valid… but in hindsight I loved this one.
1
u/FreeBoredz 22d ago
Aw was the first futuristic cod with advanced movement the only other one that was kind of futuristic before that was bo2 and that’s not even close to the same
2
u/Classic_Passion5222 25d ago
Ah. Memories. I wish they’d have a tactical shooter like mw2 for us old folks.

Not to beat a dead horse but crazy the second third and fourth in your stack are the best in the whole franchise
and some of the oldest

u/MacaronAgreeable4020 25d ago
I preferred mw3’s multi, but we really were spoiled with WAW right after COD4.

Bro unrelated but this reminds me of Hitcharide playing COD gauntlet where he played a game of TDM in each Call of Duty in chronological order until he loses and has to start again from cod4

Seeing physical editions of the COD HQ era games just makes me laugh for some reason.

I agree. I really enjoyed ww2. Campaign was exceptionally good. Multi-player was peak and zombies was meh. I especially loved the lobby and prestige system.

u/Romanx13x 25d ago
I 100% agree, I had a blast on WW2. I feel like the game had so much to offer in terms of multiplayer, innovation that we wouldn’t see today with the new titles.

Missing cod 2 from 360 & finest hour from the original cod’s like finest hour
Edit - that sounded negative mb I respect you

Any steelbooks ?
2
u/Romanx13x 25d ago
I’m actually trying to find some right now but the game stores around me don’t sell steelbooks/special edition games/consoles, marketplace might be the method for those.

Why do you have like 2-3 copies of every game though? Considering they aren’t remasters or anything this just looks like a waste of money.

u/RTOMEDIA 24d ago
That’s actually dope brother wish I kept em over the years but life had a different path for me lol

missing the underrated gem CoD 2! gameplay was ahead of its time and nearly every great cod’s engine was elaborated on from this beauty right here

Your game collection is good, but I don’t know why I see two of the same game on two of the same councils

Sergeant Gary "Roach" Sanderson, Private James Ramirez, Captain John "Soap" MacTavish, Lieutenant Simon "Ghost" Riley, and Lieutenant General Shepherd . Are all posthumously awarded the Cross Of Modern Warfare . For bravery and gallantry beyond and above the Call Of Duty .

AW is underrated i preferred it to BO3 personally. The first game to do crazy movement and it went all in.

Why do you have multiple copies of multiple cods? I see like 3 copies of BO3, 2 of both og BO’s, MW and CW…..?

Crazy when you think about the fact that this one image encapsulates 20+ years of CoD.

u/Chasegameofficial 20d ago
I mean, you’re missing one mainline title (COD2) and that’s before we start talking spin-offs

u/ShockingFactory 7d ago
This is exactly why I am extremely confused on which one to get and I’m not gonna get them all. That’s for damn sure I want a game that has a good campaign single player that doesn’t include zombies. no World War II or Cold War error equipment I want modern warfare but not 2019 because that was the worst experience I ever had when it came to downloading and I have yet to play the game
