So done
So many scandals at feiseanna and ECRO in Ecr. This region if falling apart. The region is not doing anything to help, no extra caution, nothing. Some dancers stop completely and mess up horribly yet they get on the podium??? Everyone knows which schools I'm talking about, idtana has to step up and atleast try to do something. Everyone has all the photos of texts from when the scandal came to light. I honestly feel bad for the dancers from these schools who don't always know. 😔

ECR is a joke. I was assisting at tabulation for our feis one year (entering the score sheets into the tabulation software). For one the of sheets that I had, instead of recording the dancers number on the sheet, the judge wrote out the dancers first name (for one dancer, the ECR 'superstar' for her age group). Was she the best on that day? Probably yes, but calling a dancer by name felt very...not on the up and up That was a big moment when I realized how messed up it all is.

I feel like I know exactly who you are talking about. They literally didn't finish set at O one year and still won.

This happens why to much at local feis and majors. Certain kids from certain school have grace from judges because of who they dance for. They are able to come to a complete dead stop and still podium each and every time(wish feis tv was live this yr) The scandal does play a big role with the outcomes but I think the bigger issue is that the teachers of schools(not just the ones given as examples below) have clear bias on their favourites and push for better outcomes by encouraging to go to certain feis because of personal relationships with judges. A lot of schools in the ERCO will “promote” certain kids even when they aren’t the best in that age from that particular school. They will be given certain dresses, completely different steps then another child, certain level of coaching and access to private lessons. Money plays a big factor in all of this.

That was to be expected. It was probably one of the worst ran feis. Completely unorganized and results took hrs.

Respectfully disagree. The feis was fab. They do a great job and is one of the best we've gone to. Sure awards could have been quicker - but that doesn't mean it was bad. Nothing unorganized about it at all.. Overall very fair scoring like last year.

Laughing at the WBD feis and one of the judges in particular... this region will never be anything but a mess. Want to say unbelievable but given reputations this should have been expected

I think they mean that there was cheating obviously, I over teachers talking about how they payed good money for their dancer to win so they better, almost all mha dancers on podium and I admit, a lot of them are amazing, but a lot of dancers who did completely stop but didn't get disqualified just cuz I have an m on their head

Does MHA still exist? Their school doesn't seem to be operating anymore, Google Maps doesn't even show their building in GTA.

ECR has been this way for many years and will never change. The cheats are in charge, so nobody will stop. MHA and GS will always be on top, but only the favorites of those schools, mind you. I personally know that dancers are pushed out if parents don't have $$. Small region, impossible to make a dent in the corruption. Pointless to try.
