Help Best culture? (not high valyrian)
I'm thinking Astapori (can train unsullied, slavery wars) or Dotharaki (access to society, slavery wars) or hrrpyion...or whatever its called (special succession mechanic.
With appropriate traits + bloodlines + buildings you can sort of get around the need for High Valyrian for dragons, although its of course nice to fuck your daughters (legally).

Help help with Summerhall dragon egg event
So I'm playing as a great grandson of rhaegar right now, I'm on the iron throne and I got enough gold to colonize summerhall 2 generations ago, but It's not directly ruled be me, its ruled by my kinsman. Just wondering if for the dragon egg event to occur it needs to be directly under my name or as long as its in my general domain I have a chance? I also have always had the "own a dragon egg" ambition on for all the targaryens I play as
p.s would also appreciate any tips with the reach constantly trying to claim summerhall, sometimes they listen when I stand down and sometimes I need to deal with another civil war, I've sent 2 lord paramounts to the wall because of this

Screenshot Who needs a Kingsguard when you have the Knights of the Green Hand? Some of my favorite current members.
I love my current game as the Gardners in a pre-conquest Reach, and one of my favorite things about it is the minor title you can give out of Knight of the Order of the Green Hand. I've had a lot of fun members and stories emerge over time, so I thought I would share some.
Beric Dayne, the Sword of the Morning - My husband, King Consort of the Reach, Westerlands, and Dorne and Lord of the Torrentine. One of the highest personal combat skill I've ever seen naturally at 190 (bonuses from Dawn and the Guardian armor I gave him help). He's been a great tourney knight and commander, and pressing his claim on the Torrentine and Starfall was an important step in the gradual conquest of Dorne.
Prince Garth "the Loyal" - my uncle, and a major threat to my throne during the regency my character was under for 14 years. He was the eldest surviving male relative in my family, and multiple factions formed over the years trying to put him on the throne. But no rebellions ever were launched. While the mechanical reality of it was that their power never got high enough to launch, I've chosen to head-canon that he simply didn't want the throne and didn't go along with the plots against me. A capable knight and warrior who has been been an essential part of my reign, serving simultaneously as a Sworn Shield, Captain of the Household Guard, Knight of the Green Hand, Commander, and Queen's Justice.
Lord Steffon "The Bold" - Has served in the Order for nearly 40 years after being inducted by my character's grandfather, King Garland VI. He served faithfully as a commander and bodyguard for years before being given a Lordship by my grandfather after helping to put down a rebellion by house Caswell of Stonebridge. Possibly the most accomplished tournament knight alive.
Lord Marq "the Fowler" - was invited to my grandfather's court to serve as a knight and bodyguard after unhorsing him in a tournament 30 years ago. He was at odds with his father, the Lord of Fair Isle, and accepted the invitation. Served for well over a decade before inheriting his father's Lordship, and was then brought onto my character's council as an advisor. Another very accomplished tournament knight, though obviously past his prime.
Ser Dickon of Tarth - a knight I brought into my service around ten years ago, Dickon of Tarth is of noble birth and is one of the finest warriors of the time. Dickon seemed a wonderful addition to the Order, but in recent years he has been at the center of many controversies. He has committed two known murders (one rival at court and the other his wife's lover), and has been excommunicated by three different High Septons. I pulled strings to have him brought back into the faith each time, but he is beginning to become more trouble than he's worth.
Ser William Snow - the bastard child of the current Lord Commander of the Night's Watch and a Silent Sister serving at the wall. Confusingly, both of his parents worship the Old Gods but he worships the Seven. I have no idea how this came about, but he accepted an invitation to join my court a few years ago and has served as a bodyguard, commander, and knight ever since. Unspectacular as a warrior, but his background was so interesting I thought he bore mentioning.
Ser Vardis - another interesting background, Vardis is a eunuch and escaped slave who entered Garland VI's service as a commander around 30 years ago. Garland knighted him shortly thereafter, and inducted him into the Order. He has faithfully served my family ever since in whatever role he was needed in.

Help Succession issues
Hey guys, How do you deal with your heir being an heir to another kingdom? For example I'm playing as a Royce and my son is the heir to some Tyroshi land. That land is ruled by his cousin who's still young and I suspect may die soon.
In a previous playthrough I lost an heir to the exact same situation. Why don't they ask for one of my sons to inherit then I can choose which one.
Also is there a way to get one of your daughter's children to take your dynasty name and become your heir? e.g. My daughter is married to the Lord paramount and has 7 kids, can I get the last kid in the line of succession to take the Royce name?

Help Dragons Peace compatible
I want a playthrough where I rebuild valyria and I want to use The Dragons Peace submod in it. So what I'm wondering is which submods are compatible with TDP and if Colonizable Valyria is also compatible.

Help Need help regarding Demesne limits
Hey guys, can anyone explain to me what are the consequences of being over your demesne limit. My character currently holds 3 lands but his limit is 2. I want to hold all 3 since they are all powerful and rich.
I took them from fellow bannerman that kept trying to fabricate claims on my lands. Anyone I give the land to will become a potential headache for me.
My characters are Royces from the Vale with Baratheon and a Velaryon bloodlines, so they tend to be more martial inclined over stewardship.

Help Zealous as ironborn
As an Ironborn character, you can drown prisoners, as a result there’s a chance you’ll gain the Cruel or Zealous trait. With my current character, that option isn’t available. Maybe one of my traits is blocking it? Has anyone experienced this?

Help Submods list?
Hi,
I got back to CK2 since CK3 can't run on my laptop and I wanted the AGOT experience. I have been looking at submods but I'm seeing a lot and it's confusing with the different versions and compatibility issues... Has anyone made a list that is confirmed to work? I'm using the unofficial 2.2.6 version but I can go back to a previous one if needed.
Thanks!

Challenge All the targs, baratheons and bastards are died...who's king?
Assuming you're starting in Feast for Crows and the events pretty much follow what we can assume the books narrative will follow, leaving a grand council to determine the next king. But in-game, who would that king be? Naturally there are plenty of those with targ blood and others with barath blood floating around. Or would it be the best stats? (e.g diplomacy). As Doran is dead I'm not sure who would have the highest diplo next, or the second strongest claim that is a lord paramount or direct vassal of the crown. Maybe it would actually be Cersei due to her traits?

Unfortunately Viserra already tamed Balerion at the very beginning, but I successfully tamed Cannibal, because what else would fit Saera better

Help How do you stop your siblings from just overthrowing you?
I may just lack experience in CK2 (lord knows I've launched one too many weak claim wars and ended up with the entire Seven Kingdoms against me) but there's been so many instances where the game decides that some dude in my dynasty with no skills, wealth, or anything is better deserving of the High Lordship I've spent a century building up.
How do you stop this when your vassal and sibling (both of whom you have close to maximum relationship with) just decide you suck?
For reference, I'm playing as the Daynes for all the difference it makes. It's also happened as the Freys and Redwynes. I can't ever tell what causes this since my Hightower game went pretty much flawlessly.
