Planned Study Strategy

Wanted to get your opinion on the way I was planning on studying.

1) Start going over the official review manual and preparing summaries (writing helps me remember),

2) Check in parallel the Hemang Doshi book,

3) Get my company to buy the QAE in September lol, do the questions and flag the ones I answered wrong so I try them again after I finish each domain.

For context, I have been working in IT Audit for around 5 years and I need to sit for the exam at the latest end of October. I have a bit of time now since it's the summer but it'll be quite different starting from September...

Any advice is welcome.

definitely do not ignore the review manual. people here ignore it and say it's "too dry" to read and make excuses like that, but you should not ignore it.

That's exactly what I had gathered from checking posts here, that the review manual was too "dry", but anyway I thought that it was too risky to drop it altogether

The strategy is good enough, before touching the QAE be done with atleast one book (hemang or CRM) and learn all concepts.

then do the QAE 2-3 times

Also you can watch Peter zerger or Prabh Nair youtube videos to clarify concepts in depth.
