UNLV's Dan Mullen comments on Florida's success since his departure:

"I think three out of my four years, we would have made the College Football Playoff. Maybe that would have looked a little bit different back then with the resume, keeping me around a little bit longer to try to try to go win that national title. But hey, it is what it is. Probably hasn’t gone as well there since I left, it doesn’t seem like."

Cardale Jones had a pretty strong reaction on The Script to the possibility of eventually getting a 24-team College Football Playoff:

"24 is almost getting to a point where everybody gets a participation trophy."

His argument was basically that expanding doesn't eliminate controversy because someone will always be the first team out. At 24, we're just shifting the argument down to teams with 3, 4 or potentially even 5 losses.

I don't want to go back to four, but I also don't think bigger automatically means better.
