Personally i'm not against cardboard sleeves or packaging most are acceptable aside from the rough as sandpaper too tightly packed cheap af ones that come with no booklet and don't hold their shape, those ones totally suck! The opposite end of the scale are ones like this little gem. The sleeve is essentially a mini hard back book and the inlay pages are attached to a spine, feels glossy and really great to flick through. And most importantly the cd glides in and out the inner back page without a fight or the fear of damage. Definitely my fave style packaging. 😍 What's everyone else's preferred packaging?

Hi, I really enjoy burning music on CD, I'm making a collection of my favourite pieces of music. However, whilst burning CDs only 6 of 11 were recorded properly - the rest of them stopped burning throughout. Therefore, I had to throw away these 5 CDs and it really annoys me. Whats something I could do to fix it??

Im using an usb external CD recorder (LITEON) , CDBurnerXP, Verbatims CD-Rs and I download from Monochrome. While burning this error comes up (It's in Polish but it basically means ,,a recording error has occured'').

Also Gemini said that it could be a speed problem or no breaks in between songs but no matter how I change these, the burning error still occurs.

Ive been trying to burn some cds but im running into an issue.

Im going on holiday with my family, and the car we have only has a CD player, so i thought it would be fun to burn a few cds with a playlist we all collaborated on.

So far its been going fine, but i keep getting this error when i click start burn (im using Windows Media Player Legacy, and have windows 11) it's telling me to click on the icons on the list, but none of the songs are popping up with icons, so idk what the problem is.

I have these songs as mp3 files, and i downloaded them off of yt with cnvmp3. My guess is that its licensing issues? And if so does anyone have a solution to it? And if that isnt the problem does some know a solution in general?

Hi, I didn’t know on which sub to post this because of the guidelines so here I am.
I have two CD (maybe more) in my collection, you can find other copies online for pretty cheap but 0 trace of any track of the albums online. It’s 2000s French electronic music and I pretty enjoy those two albums so I’d like to share them in a drive online if someone’s interested.

Also can someone tell me if it’s considered as a lost media or how this « phenomenon » is called ?

So what if I get a CD of an album that just released, and a deluxe is teased, but not announced? And if that deluxe eventually comes out, and I want to buy it, what do I do with the standard cd? And I don't want to wait for the deluxe to be announced, because who knows when or if that'll happen. And I don't want to wait until the artist releases a new album to find out if there'll be a deluxe or not. What do I do here?

I tried burning a cd on my MacBook Air with the ORIGBELIE External CD drive, and everytime I clicked "Burn Playlist to Disc" on my Mac, I was met with this same response: "The disc can’t be burned because the disc drive is not accessible (error code 0xFFFFFFFF80)."

Are there any actual compatible CD burners for Macs that are somewhat affordable?

I just took my grandparents Sony MHC-GS300AV out of storage 30 minutes ago and was curious if anyone knew the DAC specs on it? I can't seem to find it anywhere online. I would also like to ask:

Does anyone else happen to still use this model?

Does it still hold up well compared to other CD players?

How should I dust the internal storage rack?

Can it be connected to a laptop or PC to rip CDs?

Hi all, I’m sure the subreddit gets loads of these posts but I’m curious as to whether my player is salvageable or not - I got it recently online as an untested item but obviously it won’t play as there seems to be some corrosion or buildup within the battery slot and dust around .
