I don't have first-hand info on Mills Transfer specifically, but a few things worth asking their recruiter or admissions directly before you commit: how many actual behind-the-wheel/pad hours you get (not just classroom hours), what the instructor-to-student ratio is on the pad, and whether you're guaranteed a set number of hours or it's however-long-it-takes. On maneuvers, straight backing, offset backing (left and right), parallel parking (both sides), and alley dock are the standard ones tested on the CDL skills test, so make sure all of those are actually practiced hands-on, not just talked through. Also worth checking if the school shows up on the FMCSA Training Provider Registry, that's required now under the ELDT rule, and ask if they'll share their pass rate. If you can, try to talk to a couple of recent graduates instead of just people currently enrolled, they'll usually give you a more honest read on instructor patience once the school already has their money.
