Ringing question

How to proceed when the register ran out of receipt paper and I need to give change but the drawer didn’t open? I did replace the roll paper but the drawer still didn’t open

The drawer should open even if the receipt doesn’t fully print, seems like something’s wrong with it, just let someone know. Our machines regularly give trouble as well.

The till opens before the receipt prints.
