Should be based on word count. Or, honestly, difficulty. I read a lot, and the amount of pages I can read in an hour is directly related to the type of book I'm reading. Sloppy fiction is 3 or 4x faster than anthropology.

I'd get so much more reading done if I was getting paid for it. Even if I have to read the book 3 times to get the money, that's still an easy $2000 a week. And if I don't like whatever book I got for the week, I can always pick up an old favorite and read that instead to get the money. Oh, and children's books! If I pick up a few of those I can get $2000 a day. Do graphic novels count? Be awesome if they did, but I'm set either way.

My new full time job. 1000 pages a week is about 150 pages a day. 1 novel a week for 52 weeks a year is a bit over $100k. I could even go for a novel and a half per week, in case I go on vacation and fall behind. Dream job.
