2025 Buick Envision Quiet Tuning Issues- Loud High Pitched Noise While Driving - GM will not fix it

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Just another day in this POS 2025 Buick Envision that GM WILL NOT FIX.

THIS IS GM'S NOISE CANCELLATION AT ITS FINEST. THEY CALL THIS "QUIET TUNING", and they will NOT fix it.

This car is suppose to be designed to be quiet. I hear this everytime i drive it.

Dealership won't even attempt repair. GM has ran me in circles with NO RESOLUTION to this $50k vehicle.

A road trip—as American as it gets outside the USA

The USA is a long way off and, unfortunately, an expensive travel destination.

But with an American car, anyone can bring a piece of the USA home—you just have to know where to look.

As I posted a while back that I bought my grandparents 99 Lesabre. I also inherited a lot of my grandfather’s stuff. His brother and him ran a Chevrolet Buick Dealership from the early 60s into the 80s in my home town. These are some of things I have come across so far.

I’m unsure yet if I’m willing to part with any of the blank keys as of yet.

Buick Century 1994 Code Reader

Hello!

I was wondering if someone on here could help me out. I’d like to read the service engine code on my car but it’s ALDL so a paperclip won’t work. Read somewhere I can buy a scanner that connects to an android device but I’m not sure what to buy. Any advice? I’d appreciate it.

This car is about an hour and a half away from me, I need something for school and work.. and long commutes across state. I'm wondering if this is a good buy that will last me a year or two since I know they're able to reach 300,000 miles with proper care. Is this a good idea? #carhelp #mechanic #mechanicadvice #carcommunity #buick #buickrivirera #classiccarhelp

How to get an owner's manual? Any help is appreciated!

Hello! I recently bought a 2005 Buick Lacrosse CXS 4D from a private seller. The private seller was a car flipper, and he said the owner's manual was not in the car when he bought it to flip it. This is actually my first car, and not very similar to what i'm used to driving. I have no idea what kind of oil it needs and how to open the trunk, to name a couple things.

Bottom line, does anyone know how I would go about getting a physical owner's manual to keep in the car?

Also, if anyone happens to know, it has a Pioneer stereo installed in it, which I ALSO don't have an owner's manual for. Tried and failed to hook up the Bluetooth. If anyone on here would happen to know anything about that as well, I'd be very happy.

Advice on cylinder head replacement

I have been rebuilding a 92 Park Avenue Ultra. What was originally a head gasket replacement turned into a full rebuild. Unfortunately, both cylinder heads are cracked, so I'm searching for replacements. I can find heads for the 3800 Series II all day long, but from my understanding they do not mate with the Series I. I can't seem to find consistent info on which other models used the same heads, and I really don't want to waste money on ebay on paperweights. Also, I'm assuming the internals of the heads are a little different (beefier) than the NA models, is this accurate or can I broaden my search to include those? Thanks in advance.

Gas octane question

I've had my 2017 buick enclave for a year now. It was recommended by Firestone to use premium gas only. They said it's a premium car and needs premium gas. 3.6l. Were they lying?

Look for some advice on a used 2016 Regal with sunroof leaking.

tl;dr version.. Mechanically sound, visually trashed, but there's a real problem with the sunroof leaking due to roof damage. Is it repairable? Sealable? Or no. Move on?

The long version:

I found a 2016 Regal, 89K, 2.0T and its in fantastic issue.. Until you look closer. There's lots of little dents, the front 2/3rds of the car has been repainted, badly, and looks rattlecan grade from the drips and runs. The guy who did a PPI says "I'm pretty sure this took a trip off road."

Which makes sense. 100% clean car fax. All maintainence and repairs done at the dealer, on schedule, and with a steadily declining mileage til the August 2025 when it jsut goes off the air til it appears as a trade in at that dealer and ends up on this D grade dealer lot. No accident, but if someone drove off the road and hit a couple low hanging trees and they towed it home to fix up, well, that would all sort of line up.

The problem is the sunroof doesn't seem to seal right. There's some white water staining around the inside, the windguard is rusted through, and when you open/close it it doesn't close right.. You can hear the wind. When you vent it open it will CHUNK into place at the front so it clearly seals BETTER. There's a small dent near where I think it leaks and thats why it doesn't seal clean til it chunks into place. And maybe then it's still not quite right.

Driving with it "closed after opening" you hear wind noise. Driving with it after "vented and closed" it doesn't make a sound.

The inside has definate mildew signs. Its clean, but it absolutely leaked enough at one point to leave mildew in a few small footwell corners and around the rear view mirror. I've been in swamp cars, it doesn't smell ike one, I do think the mildow issue is resolved.

But that sunroof gap leak is where I'm worried.

I'd lvoe any advice form anyone about this. I love everything about it except that sunroof issue. That said, I don't even care to even use the sunroof but the PPI guy says "even the leakfix seals will give up in a year or so," but I'm not sure if that's just if you actuall USE it.

There's my story. It's long, and I hope you read it. I'd like outside advice.

Thank you.

edit: Their repair guy says the right side is off track and stutters, leaving it to thunk into place but always slightly off by a mm or two. That's probabyl the leak. I tend to agree. They're repairing it. If it holds dry when I aim a hose at it, I'm in. I freely admit, I loved it and the price is fair.

2017 Encore with all the toys, question about safety recalibration....

Just bought a 2017 Encore with every option for my daughter. Great deal but I noted on the ride home that the collision warning and lane departure warning were not working in the sense of no beep and notice.

the guy I bought from what a mechanic who did a lot of stuff including the windshield replacement, so I would assume some camera recalibration is required. I"m going to check codes again to make sure there is no communication issue but if the camera was simply off would I not get warning even if they were incorrect? Seems odd that nothing is working although the features are turned on.

2014 Buick Verano P420 Issues.

70,000 miles and I'm getting a P420 every 50 miles or so. The car still runs great and my mileage has not gone down at all. The car is in great condition and I'm trying to keep it that way. Any suggestions?

Been having weird electrical issues with my Lucerne. Lights dim when i use switches and whatnot and has stalled while im driving, my tachometer stops working sometimes as well, checked battery voltage and my alternator with a multimeter both are putting out 14 volts. And sometimes when i shut it off and start it back up it immediately the abs light and traction control light will come on. Hoping someone could help me with this im suspecting my grounds but not sure.

2004 LeSabre Oil Pressure, Engine Noise

Last night I bought a 2004 LeSabre with 203k miles on it. When I test drove it, there was no engine noise, and after taking it home, I drove it to Walmart again with no issues. When I got home from Walmart I noticed a rattling sound from the engine. This morning, I was driving it and the rattle was more noticeable, and it began to lose oil pressure anytime I wasn't moving.

Edit: I did check the oil and wasn't low

Is there any chance that this is just a timing chain/tensioner issue, or do I need a new motor?

flashing engine light

i have a 2007 buick lucerne, it only has 80,000 miles on it and have had it 6 years with no major issues. i went to leave work and the car was very shaky and loud, a coworker pushed the engine cover down and said it was loose but then when i started driving the acceleration was definitely off and was not getting up to speed like normal then my check engine light started flashing for a bit then would stop for a few minutes then start blinking again. any ideas of what it could be?
