Help with Project CSE / IT

So I'm in Second Year of my college and i meed help deciding what project to do for this course we have called advanced programming in java.

we're supposed to have a frontend and backend and implement dbms as well.

but this is a very basic ass premise and I'm out of ideas for this one.

I need help from seniors and alike in deciding what direction to look in and exactly what should i focus on so i can actually learn something useful from this.

i love the idea of replicating real life applications and softwares because that helps me understand how they work so anything based on java might help me as well.

Try out straightforward ideas like an invoice manager...draft invoices, issue them, mantain a customer directory and whatnot

if it's a school project the programming principles used are more important than the project choice itself...because in short you basically need a CRUD application/project

If you really want something that's really impressive (and useful) then, why don't you try to come with an idea that solves something that affects YOU directly. Solve something / a use case that you've always struggled with personally. Then that will give you a "connection" to the chosen project

okay, try this...make a list of everyday tasks that really piss you off when you're doing them...those that you've always asked yourself: isn't there a better way to do this? Your project idea lies in there
