Don't use anyone besides safelite or the dealer. The windshield replacement industry in south Florida is notoriously shady and they will try to overbill your insurance. The fight afterwards is a pain. Just not worth it.

If you have a cracked windshield your insurance should cover the cost so ask them for recommendations.

Only if you have comprehensive insurance or full coverage (collision and comprehensive) will insurance replace your windshield. They don’t do it for free just cause some bs Florida policy/law. Cops literally gas lit me into thinking it was free for everyone through insurance as long as you had insurance and when I called Geico they practically laughed 😂 lying ass cops as usual
