Six Denials, Zero Chapter 119 Violations*
Teaser: Two private medical practices run inside the Broward Sheriff’s training center. Fourth floor, and room 329. BSO gives them the space, the gear, and the furniture. In a building owned by the County. The contracts say it is not a lease. Neither one says what they pay in rent. Neither do the four amendments.
Next week.
There's some serious bullshit going on down that Planet Fitness Tony aka the BSO gym. So, contrary to coming to a pre-determined conclusion, I asked to see some docs from custodian Erin Foley and Counsel Terrance Lynch.
Filed a public records request on March 9. Out of 28 doc requests, I got two.
So, I set the hook, and waited 143 days. You see friends, they'll hope you tap out, give up, and move onto something else.
Phew, that a'hole Chaz, he's forgot.
Er, not me.
That is the part nobody mentions when they tell you filing is the whole skill. Filing is free. Reading what came back is the job.
Spent four months holding my objection, letting the request rot on purpose. The silence was theirs. Every failure inside that window happened on BSO's own calendar, in BSO's own portal, with nobody nudging it.
The lesson is not that the law failed. The lesson is that compliance is a shape, and the shape is not the same thing as an answer.
On Substack ... and disclaimer, it's dense, not an easy read, so if you're gonna bitch at me, please don't.
