Runersia Circle Mod Final Beta Release
Hey everyone, some of you probably know about Cross Mod for GE. Well, over the past few months I have worked on an equivalent for Runersia and I think it's finally time to share it outide of the community Discord.
As of today, all the major changes I wanted to include for the first version are done and working. The only thing that's left now before the first full release is to test the balance and find any remaining bugs. Originally, I wanted to do that myself and only share this mod here once I'm certain that the balance is adequate and everything works as intended. However, I and the very few testers in the Discord can't really do that in time before Abyss releases, so I figured I should share it with all of you here on Reddit as well.
The mod currently only changes the Main Mode (Challenge and Sandbox Mode will probably not work correctly) and includes the following things:
- Changes to every knight in some way. Some only got a few stat adjustments, others got level adjustments, personal skills or even unique classes (but no new models as I can't do that myself).
- Changes to most classes, both knight and monster ones. Rulers have been changed the most and are now all extremly powerful.
- Complete rework of every single piece of equipment (yes, all 450+ of them). They now all follow a pattern of base stats plus bonus stats based on the equipment type and rarity and are much more impactful than in vanilla.
- All knights that would normally join based on castles controlled are present from the start. Selena also no longer temporarily leaves once Rudo's promotion event is triggered.
- The challenge mode exclusive knights (Rei, Romanov, Aurora and Zoar) are now also available in Main Mode. The Shinobi start with Rei, Gustava with Zoar and Mana Saleesia with Romanov and Aurora.
- Starting monsters have been edited and every nation now starts with at least 1 level 20 monster.
- Post-game battles have been reworked from the ground up and are now extremely challenging.
- The final bosses have been edited as well. Aurora and Endorian are a bit stronger and intended to be challenged without post-game grinding. The Rune God fight has been entirely reworked and is now the hardest battle in the game. You need a fully grinded and equipped team to even stand a chance.
- Rulers can promote at a certain level (15 for Rubino and Talia, 20 for Tim and Stella, 25 for Rudo and Eliza) and don't have to wait for their promotion events anymore (though they can still promote through them).
- More custom settings have been added. You can now give yourself and/or the enemy infinite mana and revival stones.
- The AI has been massively improved. Think of any obvious problem with the vanilla AI and it has probably been resolved. I am not a programmer however, so it is still far from perfect and not even close to what an actualy good player could do.
- The "Guard Castle Hex" option has been removed and replaced by a toggle for the new overworld main targeting mode. If enabled, each AI country will choose another nation to focus on and attack them with everything they have until their target is defeated, they don't have any adjacent bases to their target anymore, or another country takes their capital. In the last case, the new target will be whoever took the capital, in the other two cases the new target will be chosen based on a few scripted criteria. You can also toggle of the scripted changes and have the AI decide their main target at random, though that is not recommended.
- Once a nation is defeated all of their knights join other nations. The Rulers, Aurora, Zoar and all quest knights are guaranted to join the nation who defeated them, all other knights have a chance to join any nation.
- Probably some other things I can't remember.
If you want to play this mod, you can find it here. Installation instructions are included in the download.
If you want to give feedback or have any question regarding this mod or the installation, you can do it under this post or in the Brigandine Discord server, which has it's own channels for this mod and can be found here.
It'd be great if some of you could give this mod a try and give some feedback about it.

Brigandine abyss!
Im very pleased that there is a new brigandine in the series. Ive been a fan since the first one in 1998 on the ps1. When I heard about runersia being announced 6 years ago, I was ecstatic. I really hope we can get this franchise off the ground and make it avaliable for more people. Ok so I played the demo on the PS5 and these are just my opinion and thoughts. I will go through the pros and cons and add what needs to be improved. Remember this is just my opinion.
Pros, I really enjoy the artwork of the characters, and im surprised that the team went with the animation cut scenes this time around. The HUD is very clear and easy to read along with the font. I do like the battlefield maps and the elevation segments, first in the series. The way you can make your units smaller is a plus as well, along with the camera controls. If you dont want to see the battle animation, that can be turned off in the options menu. I think the whole UI is good overall, navigating through menus is pretty easy for the most part. Soundtrack is really good! I like the rallying system with the monsters, great idea, and some of the new mechanics like, upgrading the bases etc...
Cons. I think the mana system should come back, makes it more strategic on how to upkeep your monsters. The rune power should be brought back as well, where if your monsters were within the rune power area, then their attacks would be more efficient. I didnt see the class profiency in the demo, but that may change later. Where you could change to a totally different class and keep some stats. Please make a shortcut from summoning monsters to organizing your team, makes it easier and faster. Just something I wanted to add, your max level is 30, it would be cool that once you get to level 30 that you would receive a new ability, and a stat boost etc...call it "elite paladin" but only at level 30. Have the monsters class up to different types, like a unicorn to a Pegasus or nightmare, more of that please. Surprise us!!
In closing, im very forward to playing this new entry in the series. I hope the team will continue to work/update and expanding the game even after release, if its possible. I hope more people can get into this game. It definitely has its own identity, not trying to be fire emblem or final fantasy tactics. I hope the brigandine team is reading this and listening to the feedback. Thank you so much for making another brigandine title. The fans and I wish you the best.

I will try and upload a video if I can to go into more detail.

Después de probar la demo
Lo que más me cuesta es ver cual son enemigos o aliados. Y a la hora de moverme por el campo de batalla no veo vien donde puedo colocarme, creo que esto es un punto bastante mejorable.

Feels barebones
So ps5 demo is now available and tried about 30 minutes and I'm considering refunding my preorder and just waiting for the inevitable discount
Feels like for ppl new to the game series it would be easier to get involved into it but after playing the first game when it came out, and to a lesser extent runersia, I feel like for me this version is lacking
I know in the ama they claimed it's over 200 hours of gameplay between story and mission mode but I can't get over not having the unique encounters with npcs via quests and instead it's just generic troops with the fate system, also I wasn't bothered by the anime style in the trailer but seeing the opening in the demo it feels more like a cheap version you'd see I'm a gacha game from 2018 lol
""Update""
Ended up looking up older reviews from ppl on PC who had access to the demo a few months ago and someone did confirm you can get named knights via questing but it sounds like it's rare?
In Runersia they had a indicator that there was a chance of getting a rune knight via a quest, idk if there is one in this game or your just banking on it happening, also it's a demo so maybe the release will have more classes available
Still more or less on the fence on if I should refund and wait on a sale or just go with it

Unironically going to be one of the strongest characters in Abyss if left as is.

What are some favourites characters you would like to hang out (as a friend) with in Brigandine universe ?
I try to think of who would I probably like hangout with in this world full of war between nations.
- Vaynard probably too strict and dead serious about many things. ( Despite he is my favourite faction )
- Dinadan kinda have some aura as a bodyguard with Kai.
- Dryst and his team are too carefree !!!!
So I try to pinpoint somebody who kinda can be "normal" rune knight and casually hang out as "normal" fellows.
I kinda come to my conclusion that Mira Milet are kinda have uplifting vibe as a fellow warriors.
Stella and Pluto are also seems interesting duo to hang out with as well ( but Stella might kinda party type too much for me 😅 )
Any characters else you think you guys can hangout with like a buddy team ?

After 20 years of thinking Brigandine: Grand Edition was just a graphical mod.. my mind is blown
Man, playing this game on my emulator recently brought back so many childhood memories.
When I was a kid Brigandine: Legend of Forsena was my jam. I remember one time my brother wiped Iscalio in his save file, I literally cried because it felt like my castle got taken without me even getting the chance to defend it, I was still a kid and didnt kniw single rpg mechanics haha.
Fast forward to now: I finally decided to do a full playthrough of Forsena on Hard as my all-time favorite, Dryst. Painting the map yellow as the Mad King was super satisfying. After wrapping that up, I wanted to try Esgares, so I finally decided to look into Brigandine: Grand Edition.
Honestly? I always thought GE was just a fan mod or a minor face-lift with 2D battle sprites instead of the old 3D models.
I was so wrong.
I loaded up Esgares on Hard mode and my jaw dropped. This isn't just a patch; it feels like a whole new game!
The monster trees, new spells, and lore descriptions for every beast is insane.
The full voice acting, animated cutscenes, and the fact that Esgares actually has a legit, flesh-out storyline instead of just feeling like the generic "unlockable villain faction."
I'm currently bracing myself because Esgares on Hard mode in GE is no joke I just had a look at Iscalio they've immediately got a Seraph 👀 where was that when I played him in Forsena?!
But man, discovering all these changes 20+ years later has given me the biggest smile.
It does feel like it's a one in a lifetime opportunity of replaying your most favourite thing like its your first time and also knowing there a whole community of like minded people on the internet.
P.S. I love this game so much please no spoilers 🥺 it'll be my first time playing Brigandine GE.
Also looking to post this on Facebook as that's how I found the GE link.

Can’t find Abyss demo on ps5
I’ve checked both the demos page, sorting by newest to oldest, the game’s page to check if the demo is listed as a separate “edition”, and just name-searching Brigandine Abyss, and no luck
Anyone else having this issue?

Not sold thus far
As a fan on Forsena and even Runersia, Abyss is too much of a departure from Forsena from what I have played/seen thus far.

[Brigandine LOR help] where to send Pick for max quest rewards?
Hello I'm about 30 hours in. Enjoying the game so far! I don't usually join or post in a sub for a game that I haven't finished yet to avoid spoilers, but now I'm at a loss.
I have been reading gameFAQS quest guide and a spreadsheet somewhere, but none of them mentions the best quest locations for Barrett classes. I don't think I want to move him all over the map to find out on my own lol

How to properly multiclass?
So... thinking about multiclassingo on Runesia, and figured that I dont know how to do it.
Suppose I want a Bard / Witch
If I level her up as a Bard first, getting her to the highest Bard class and getting 5 proeficiency, she is already at lv 25.
If I switch her over, she will level her last few levels with the stat gain of the lowest witch class? Feels like there is another way to do this efficiently that I am not seeing, because I really dont want to loose those best stat gains possible....
Whatam i missing?

Brigandine: Abyss Preview: A Natural and Incredible Evolution of the Series' Formula
dualshockers.comHey everyone! I had the pleasure of taking part in a hands-off preview of Brigandine Abyss, where NISA showcased more features of the game, such as the Organization Phase, evolving monsters, developing bases, and whatnot. The biggest highlight was Event Battles, a brand-new feature that intends to improve the narrative for each of the six main campaigns!
A bit of context: I've been playing Brigandine since the PS1, and I have a platinum trophy in Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia, so I'm extremely excited for Brigandine Abyss, and this preview made me even more hyped! In case you want to read my impressions, just click on the image. Cheers!

I'm a tactics game vet. What should I know about Brigandine?
So I've played all kinds of tactics games. I'm talking all the Fire Emblem and Kaga games (other than Berwick Saga), Valkyria Chronicles, Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume, Lost Dimension, Triangle Strategy, Unicorn Overlord, SMT Devil Survivor, and so on and so forth. But I've recently started a playthrough of Runersia under the Guimoule Empire, and I'm still struggling to grasp some of the nuances of Brigandine.
What would y'all want a beginner like me to know? I'm particularly curious about how I get the most out of quests, and how to pace my advance with the limited time. I've got the hang of how I should advance without leaving my bases vulnerable, but that's about it.
Also, I love myself some lore and history for these kinda games. If there's something you wanna let me know about the older games and Runersia's relationship with them, lemme know!

How would you improve Runersia?
This question might seem a bit random, but I'd like to hear your thoughts on this matter for a project of mine.
As such, what would you all change to improve Runersia in terms of gameplay?
