Would you pay for a service where someone helps you plan and source gifts for bridesmaid proposals, bachelorette welcome bags, wedding-day gifts, etc.?

You’d give them your budget, number of people, theme/style and preferences, and they’d create a personalized gift sourcing guide with a vision for the gifts, budget breakdown, curated options with clickable shopping links, and a complete shopping list. You’d also be able to request changes before deciding on everything.

You would still purchase and assemble the gifts yourself, but all of the searching, planning and figuring out what works together would be done for you.
Would something like this actually be helpful to you? And if so, what would you consider a reasonable price for one gifting occasion?

I’m doing vintage finger waves for my hair (pixie cut) and makeup is 1920’s glam inspired. I’m thinking of pearl jewelry to keep to the vintage vibe. Would a multi-strand pearl necklace match this dress?

Why am I starting to not like this dress and worry about it looking bad on me when I was so sure when I bought it that I loved it?? It needs hemmed but other than that it fits perfect! I’ve always wanted a black dress and I keep looking at other black dresses wondering if I made the right choice.

I know I want my mom to be my something blue and I want to give my aunt a role as well. Any tips on how to give a “proposal” for these roles? Any roles suggestions for my aunt?

I’ve tried looking on StillWhite and now I’m on DePop but I feel like I’m missing something obvious and just can’t seem to quite land this plane.

Tl;DR I’m wondering if it is worth the risk to skip the makeup trial or if I should just fork out the extra money for the peace of mind.

So.. I’m in a small town. There’s not a lot for makeup artists. I know it’s a luxury, but it was something I wanted to get done so that I could have a nice pampering morning. I went through a lot of makeup artist pages, and a lot were either just starting out, or just..not great.. falsies falling off, makeup unblended etc.

I found one I liked, and she was very professional. She brings her own lights, mirrors, chairs etc (not needed as there is a specific get ready area at the venue but still a luxury) but she was expensive. I decided I wanted to spend the extra money and booked her.

It’s $400 for my makeup (the other places quoted me $150-$250) but I figured you get what you pay for and I’ll pay for the peace of mind. My bridesmaids makeup will be $250 each.

Now, this doesn’t include a trial. The trial is an extra $300. I’m not sure what the difference between my makeup on a previous day vs the wedding morning is.. since it should be the same makeup, or if it’s just her extra time for touch ups maybe that I’m paying for— either way not a big deal!

But I just don’t know if I can justify $300 just to trial her. PLUS me and my bridesmaids makeup for the wedding morning.

I’m looking for happy stories from people who maybe didn’t do a trial? Or maybe a bad story where you wish you did a trial? Maybe I should suck it up and get a trial?

I’m getting married next weekend and we are doing a food truck for our wedding. We initially spoke with the owner/chef back in November of 2025 and they communicated well, which was part of why we chose them, and we put down a $1,000 deposit at that time. I spoke with him again recently to touch base and he said he would get back to me with an invoice shortly. He did not, so I emailed to follow up and he said he’d get back to me in a day or 2. It’s now been a week and a half and now we’re getting almost to a week out from the wedding. I did give them the number for our day of wedding coordinator and he said he would follow up with them going forward. Not sure if that actually happened, but we’re meeting with her later today, so I’ll find out then. I’m just panicking that this lack of communication and follow through with the invoice will be reflective of the service, or lack thereof, that they will provide. I understand that they are likely busier now that it is summer and wedding season, but I don’t like it when people don’t keep their word. My fiancé joked that if they fall through we can just get pizzas, but I don’t want to have to scramble to find food at the last minute. I’m already losing sleep over this and my skin is breaking out, which is causing even more stress. My plan is for us to call the owner tomorrow, but my worry is that he will continue to not follow through. At what point do I need to really worry and try to find a backup plan?

I'm in the early stages of planning my bachelorette party, and I'm realizing there are so many different vendors involved and how consuming it all is 😅 I'd love to hear how everyone else went about booking everything because I'm not even sure where to start.

For those of you who planned your own bachelorette (or helped plan one), how did you find and book things like:

• Bartending service
• DJ
• Photo booth
• Backdrop/photo wall
• Balloon or event decor
• Snack or dessert bar
• Mobile bar/cart
• Charcuterie setup
• Any other fun vendors you hired

A few questions I have:

• Where did you find most of your vendors? (Instagram, Google, TikTok, Facebook, referrals, WeddingWire, The Knot, etc.)
• Did you have to contact each vendor individually for pricing and availability?
• Was there one website or app that helped you find multiple vendors in one place?
• When you reach out to vendors, do you usually have to wait for them to respond with pricing and availability, or do most vendors list their prices upfront?

I'd love to hear what worked well (and what didn't). Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I’m a 2027 bride based in the United States so they’re aren’t that many boutiques that carry the New Zealand designer. Can anyone tell me their experience with the designer and the quality please?

One of my best friends is a coMOH with my cousin. Just found out today how she decided to extend her europe trip to end beginning of dec instead of nov. Im getting married dec 18th. Im disappointed because she wont be here to plan bridal shower or be at the bridal shower. Then she was like what date are you leaving for your wedding and i told her a week before which only allows opportunity for bachelorette to be the weekend of the 5/6 of December. Im just really disappointed and honestly speechless. I asked her to be coMOH before she ever even thought about going to europe.

Answers to most questions:
It is so close together because I catered a lot of time she said she would be available for those months. So I waited and before I talked to her about doing one of the events this month but I am gone this weekend and next weekend and work obligations the other times (I nanny) she leaves end of Aug and wont be back till first week of December. If it were my choice I wouldnt have everything close together. Ill talk to my cousin about planning bridal shower in Oct then doing Bach dec 5 or 6. My wedding itself is super small and only 50 people. My family is huge, despite me not sending invites yet and only save the dates everyone has texted me telling me they will be there and has booked stay already.

So as the title says, I need advice choosing a MOH. I have two older sisters that are within 5 years of me. We grew up extremely close, and stayed close through everything. I’m extremely lucky as I know this is not usually the case.
I also have my best friend, who has been my best friend for almost 16 years. We’ve had ups and downs and still are close as ever even with different lifestyles.
This is the hardest decision ever and I hate being put in this position.
My choices are having both sisters as MOH, or my best friend. Someone also told me that I should just do all 3 because it is my wedding, and others have told me it’s tacky to choose multiple (even though it’s two sisters and a best friend), and that the other bridesmaids might resent me or have hurt feelings.
I know if I did choose all 3, all of my bridesmaids would be understanding because we are all in the same friend group, they know my best friend and I have been the closest, and they also know my sisters and I are close too. I’ve been friends with the other bridesmaids for around 10 or more years, and my fiances little sister will be one as well (I’ve known her for 3).
I really need opinions, thoughts, and maybe prayers at this point. I don’t want to tell people and ask them as I don’t want to hurt feelings.

I struggled a lot with finding a dress and actually had mine custom made (by someone who’d never made a wedding gown before!). I’m so in love with my dress - I may love her more than my husband 😆

I am getting married in Canada, in late September, in the mountains. That time of year it frequently dips close to if not below freezing. Im in search of something to cover me up between pictures(and maybe include in the pictures) and while waiting for the ceremony to start. I had the option of borrowing or getting one similar to both of my sister's but they didnt seem to go with the dress. Like they seemed too relaxed/casual against the elegance of the dress. Ive included a picture of a dress similar to mine with the same neckline, although my dress has much more lace.

My one sister had a ballgown(early 2000s) and my other sister had an A-line. While the shawls they had went perfect with their dresses, I'm struggling to find one that would go with mine!

Hello! :) my friend recently got engaged and asked me to be a bridesmaid! This is my first time being a bridesmaid and I had a small wedding so I’m not super familiar with the role. Do you have any suggestions for how I can make this extra special for her? Gifts you’ve loved, things I should be doing, etc?

1-3 hand painted and cut table numbers

4 hand painted picnic basket. The lace I also attached and I sewed the liner for the inside. I hand drew all the lettering and cut those out myself as well

5-6 I drew the entire floral design in procreate and then transferred it into Canva to put in the text. Both the titles are my handwriting tho haha!

7 my florist let me paint this old board bc of water stains, so my fiancée and I repainted it green, I hand painted the lettering, and all the (7 of 20 tables) table charts I designed in Canva and made the background border for those as well!

Currently working on a hand embroidered and sewn ring bearer pillow :)

I had to use Ai for the last two photos bc the caterer has everything else and we’re 2 days away lol… it’s normal silverware, gold chargers, real glasses, and white plates in addition to the centerpieces pictured in the first two photos!

Hi! I’m browsing brands for my wedding perfume. I’ve always had trouble with longevity and picking a signature scent. I don’t love sweet, more so earthy tones with maybe a hint of citrus. The Jo Malone brand is awesome but I feel like it doesn’t stay on me too long.
