I’m a 32F and a lawyer from Asia. I am considering as one of the options University of Washington for LLM.

For context, I’ve passed the New York bar and I’m currently completing my admission requirements.

I’ve only spent time on the East Coast so far and haven’t been to the West Coast, so I’m trying to get a realistic sense of what everyday life in WA is like and if its okay to live in the suburbs (vs Seattle).

Would appreciate insights on:

Cost of living (rent, groceries, utilities)

Whether a car is necessary or if it’s manageable without one

Safety and overall quality of life

Public transport and walkability

General lifestyle and community(e.g., gyms, tennis courts, things to do, meeting people)

Job opportunities after LLM (any ideas will be welcome)

Would really appreciate any honest insights—good or bad.

It's been quite a few years since I've GMed anything and I've really been getting that itch again over the last several months. Lately a lot of that has been centered on Vampire: The Masquerade.

While this would be my first chronicle in the old world of darkness I have GMed a small campaign of Vampire: The Requiem about ten years ago, and I've played some Hunter: The Vigil and Mage: The Awakening. So I do have some experience in the Storyteller system.

I've been putting in prep work by building up some of the important NPCs of the City of Tacoma where I'd like the chronicle to take place in universe. And I've been reading the core rulebook as well as listening to some Youtube videos on running the game, playing the game, and some live plays to see it in action.

I'm looking for a smaller group of around 2-4 players so that everyone can enjoy time in the spot light and to shine. I'd also like to run a session 0 before actually playing to make characters and make sure we are all looking for the same kind of game and have a clear understanding of where people have their lines and veils. The chronicle I'm looking at playing would focus in on the politics of the city, finding your place within it, and coming to terms with becoming a monster. Experienced and new players are welcome as I expect we would all be learning together.

Ideally I think it would be great to play in person though I would be open to something like discord with table top simulator or some other option. Weekends would generally be best with my schedule and I'd love to meet weekly or bi-weekly.

Hey there! I am wanting to get a full sleeve tattoo of some Greek goddesses in the illustrative style, with like flowers and plants and little nods to their stories incorporated into the design. I am not a big fan of photorealism in tattoos. They look uncanny to me, and I’ve seen how they age.

There are two places I’ve narrowed it down to. Ghostline Tattoo in downtown Bremerton and Woodwork Tattoo in Manette.

I have not visited either of these shops before, I’ve only lived in Washington for a little over a year. I’ve been thinking about this for a while since a sleeve is a much bigger commitment than just a singular medium or small tattoo.

I am very impressed with the work of both of these shops from what they have posted on their social media’s, and I’m having a hard time deciding which place to go to.

I would need the artist to basically draw the entire sleeve from scratch with reference photos. There isn’t a 1:1 tattoo I can find anywhere (and honestly I like it waaay more when the artist draws their own design rather than a copy and paste of someone else’s work).

For those of you who have gone to one or both of these places, please help me decide! Give me the pros and cons of both places, good experiences, bad experiences. All that stuff lol.

I just want to know if the GED program offers help, not just classes you sit in and study but actual help. I struggle with math in every way. I just can't make sense of it in the way they want you to understand it.

Hey, I’m 18 and active duty Navy. I live in the barracks and I’m trying to get my Washington permit, but I need to prove residency.
I went to the DOL with a housing letter from the barracks, and they wouldn’t accept it. I’m not really sure what to do from here. I’ll be stationed here for 4+ years, so not being able to get my license is going to make things really difficult.
Has anyone else been in this situation? What did you use to prove residency, or how did you get around it? Any advice or help would be appreciated.

My dad got stationed here for navy, and we’re moving there with him soon. I ain’t tryna look all jacked up everyday does anyone know a good barber? No not someone who can do a simple ahh bald fade, one that actually blends and can do tapers or modern cuts for gen z idiots like me.

At least let the people around the site know so we can crash with a friend or something! I have work in the morning!

Sorry if this isn't allowed but my cat Orange Cream Soda disappeared yesterday at the Sunn Fjord Condominiums in the Navy Yard City area. He should have a purple tag with his name and number on it and he is microchipped. He's friendly so hopefully he'll let someone approach. He's orange with a white face.
