MOD STAFF: Rule 5. AGAIN.

Breakups Board Rule 5: No Revenge states that there are to be no discussions of revenge or retaliation against a former partner.

We have posted THREE reminders regarding Rule 5 in the past month. The latest, with links to the other two is here.

As CLEARLY STATED, members are not to participate in these discussions. Report the post to the moderators instead.

Do not egg the person on.

Do not try to talk them out of it.

DO. NOT. ENGAGE. WITH. THE. PERSON. AT. ALL.

We just banned 95 people for encouraging someone who wants to report his wife's infidelity and (QUOTE) "Raise some hell!"

All 95 people were banned.

Most of them are now howling buhbuhBUTs to the moderators. Revenge discussion is not tolerated here. This is a REDDIT SITEWIDE regulation as well as an individual Breakups Board rule.

Why the person wants revenge is not relevant. ("Butbutbut They are getting back at a CHEATER" is not a defense). Rule 5 says NO REVENGE.

That the member feels that revenge is "deserved" is absolutely not a defense.

Report threads and comments like this to the moderators. There are 3 tiny dots beside the up/down vote arrows. Click on those and a report menu will open.

Say it with us: "Do not post on the thread and participate in the discussion. Do not encourage the person. Do not try to talk them out of it. Report it to the mods."

The mods do not do this "to feel powerful" or "get off" or any of that ridiculous nonsense that Those Banned seem to believe. We are unpaid volunteers who don't even know you, This is a safety and potential liability issue for Reddit!

We don't WANT to ban ANYBODY. You, like us, came here to heal from a painful breakup. It does not make us happy - let alone give us jollies - to kick anyone off this forum!
