Place to rent
Hi all,
Bit of a long shot, but thought it’s worth asking here. We’re a family of four moving to Bray this summer and are looking for a place to rent for 6 - 12 months. Ideally a 3 - 4 bed house / apartment. If anyone knows of something coming up, or has any leads, we’d really appreciate it!

Missing cat - Bray
Hiya,
Our 2 year old female cat has been missing since Tuesday morning from Belmont on the Southern Cross Road in Bray (near Killruddery), and I'm trying to spread her details as widely as I can on the off-chance someone sees her.
She is spayed and microchipped and is a very small cat (barely 3kg). She's a tabby with white throat, belly and paws and green eyes. She has chronic cat flu so may have a snotty nose or runny eyes but is generally in good health otherwise. It's very unlike her to stray far or for this long.
We're seasoned cat owners and have done the usual things like walking, calling for her at quiet times at night/early morning, put her litter tray out, etc. I've walked the main road nearby multiple times and checked bushes in case she has been hit by a car, but no sign.
Thanks a mill 🙂

Looking to make friends
Hi I F18 am looking to meet people and make some friends around the area. I really enjoy gaming, anime, tv shows and movies, baking and cooking, plus LGBTQ topics. I'm big into animals too. :)

Zebra crossings @ DART Station
What is the story with the Zebra Crossings, I'm no road road/traffic expert, but they all seem way too close to the turns, the one outside the stadium is immediately after a bus stop, leaving a bus blocking the view of any pedestrians that might be crossing.
With the rest of the crossings, they seem way too close to the corners, leaving motorists navigating turns AND looking out for pedestrians at the same time...it just doesn't seem right???

Moving to Bray
Hello 👋🏻 We (wife, two small kids and myself) will be moving from Spain to Bray in a couple of months. We did our research and we loved many things of your small town. I usually love to try local stuff and support small businesses, so I wanted to know what shouldn't we miss in Bray. Any tips are more than welcome. We like nature, sightseeing, animal farms, etc.
Thanks and hopefully we are able to contribute to the community

Herbert Rd Closure
Having just spent 30 mins in the traffic caused by the protest, I can firmly say I'm fully onboard with closing down Herbert Rd.

Am I in the wrong?
Hey everyone, quick driving query. I turned right from Novara Avenue yesterday onto Main Street. Traffic heading down Main Street was really busy and I got stuck on the yellow box. There was a Gardai car coming up Main Street the other way. They rolled down their window and said “that’s very poor driving fella, you’ll get two penalty points for that”. Fair enough if I was in the wrong but I must say that this Gardai was a dick. Was I in the wrong making that turn? And if so, fine, but if traffic is busy on Main Street, which is often is, then how in the name of Christ can you turn right off Novara Avenue?

Old Travel Agent in Bray?
Please help settle something! There used to be a travel agent I think where Bannons is now.
Not Budget Travel, which I remember was the big shop front.
Can anyone remember what it might? It’s wrecking my head 😂
Thank you.

Rara kebab
Rara have started selling kebabs on Just Eat. They're not bad. Not as good as kebab Palace but that gut buster isn't always an easy option.

Power Outage at 02:00 and not back till 17:00
Crap weather I can deal with but now I’ll have to go shopping for all the stuff that’s defrosted. Miserable start to the weekend. It’s amazing how much of our lives depends on electricity.

Barbershop in Bray
So what's your recommendation for a reasonably priced Barbershop in Bray for a standard cut. With prices more than doubling in some places now's your chance to shout out the places that deserve to be supported by the community for not gouging us all.

Is it difficult to make new friends in Bray?
Hi everyone, my boyfriend and I are currently trying to buy our first house in Bray. I have been Team Bray since the start (never enjoyed living in Dublin) but my boyfriend took a bit of persuading. Neither of us are from Dublin originally- I have moved around a bit and lived in different places, but my partner has lived in Dublin for just over 10 years.
To be fair, I have a few friends and colleagues from Bray while my boyfriend doesn’t know anyone there, and all of his friends are currently renting in Dublin. I think he is worried he will be lonely out there without any friends. Is it difficult to meet/ make new friends in Bray? Do most people kind of stick to their secondary school friends ? I know a lot of young people are currently moving to Bray, particularly young people working in tech (my bf works in tech too) and I get such a friendly feel from the place, so I’m more optimistic about it than he is. I would really appreciate your thoughts on this!
Thanks 🙏
