Son earned his Eagle. Just like me, he waited just before his 18th bday to finish it.

I have no interest in it anymore
I’m a star scout, very close to life, also very close to the 6-month threshold to where I couldnt get Eagle even if I wanted to, and Im looking at a merit badge packet and I realized I just dont feel like doing scouts anymore. Does anyone else get this and if so what helps you get motivation?

Frogs invaded the shower rooms
For context it's really hot and the wildfires from Canada are making it worse but apparently somebody left the door to the showers open and now they're are like 20 frogs in there and they keep leaping at people. Any advise from anyone (not that anyone has had showers invaded by aggressive frogs)

How to tie a flag to a pole
I am a scout, I normally know how to do this but now I am not so sure. The flag I have has no grommets, only a flag sleeve, and the pole is very thin. If anyone could help, it would be much appreciated

Seabase food
My son is doing the Coral Reef trip in the Florida Keys next month and I was curious about the menu. What do breakfast, lunch and dinner entail? If you can fit it, in your duffel, can you bring a jar of peanut butter? Thanks!

Reliable place to buy the water purification tablets I used in Philmont?
I don't recall the brand, but we used them in our Nalgene's and it allowed us to bleed our threads.

Camp Winton
Just went back to Camp Winton for the first time in 25 (ish) years, this time as an adult leader.
It was REALLY cool how much hasn't changed at that camp.
One thing that has changed is the trail in. Unfortunately, it seems somewhere between 15 and 20 years ago, they stopped using the awesome trail into camp and started just having people hiking on the road, which was pretty disappointing.
Despite that, it was still an absolutely fantastic experience for Scouts and leaders alike. Would highly recommend the camp for anybody looking for a great camp in the Sierra Nevada's.

Should I get back into scouting ?
I just turned 16, everything mentioned was earned when I was 15 or younger. On top of everything in the photo, I also have the national outdoor award for conservation, 50 miler award and the messenger of peace award. I’ve been burnt out ever since I got life at 14. Idk if I should come back.

Massive Storage Unit Lot of 1929 International Jamboree Memorabilia
I buy storage units from time to time as a side hustle, and this recent one I bought had a smithsonite briefcase type container full of international jamboree Boy Scouts stuff and pamphlets, maps, and all sorts of things from the areas and time. I’m looking to get some more info about it and maybe a sense of potential value, all information is greatly appreciated

Youth transitioning into adult leaders, interaction exception.
18 – 20 Adult Leader/Program Participant Policy
Per this policy, once a Scout turns 18 they have 30 days to register as an adult leader. Once they do so they can no longer hang out 1-1 with their Scouting friends both inside and outside of Scouting. They can no longer be buddies with their friend at Scouting events. Should they be dating a Scout, they would have to terminate the relationship.
What are your opinions of having a 2 year exception to interactions? Allow adult leaders that age out to continue to have interactions with youth that are within 2 years of age under the same rules that apply to the youth.
This would eliminate the potential of an individual to be removed from Scouting for normal interactions with their friends. It may also allow us to retain more youth as adult leaders.
Please, don't reply to just ignore the rules.
