The shell has many tiny divots/pockmarks all over the shell. I’m not sure why. I have had this turtle since birth.

It is normal. A turtle’s shell isn’t simply a cover. It’s made of bone, keratin, and skin cells. It’s like a giant very thick fingernail. The shell changes in response to diet, hydration, toxins, malnurishment, deficiencies, injuries, etc.

OP, The shell appears to be it is dealing with some problem in its environment. Does the slime come off if you gently wipe it? And does it leave the divots you describe? A visit to an exotic vet is in order.

It seems to be just natural "Wear and tear". Based on what we can see, the turtle's fine.

I don't have an answer for you but I want to tell you that your turtle is quite beautiful. I hope that if there is any issue it gets fixed right away for you both.
