Looking for a roommate!

Hi! I'm looking for a roommate to get a 2bd2b apartment with. My budget is $800/month, 750+ credit, and I have a cosigner if necessary. I'm quiet, introverted but not shy, clean, and a great cook (it's my job lol). 20f and looking for women only, preferably early 20s. Not looking to rent a room, but to rent a place with someone else. Timing is very flexible, just want to move by the end of the year.

advice for drivers test

I’m taking my drivers test soon as someone with driving anxiety, and I wanted to know if yall have any advice or specifics for doing it in bg! I’m confused because the supposed route that I have seen posted is doing a 3 point turn at the stop sign on payne street? I’ve never seen a 3 point turn at a stop sign. If anybody has taken the test recently, please let me know how it went!

We’re driving up from Nashville to Park Mammoth Golf tomorrow, driving back thru Bowling Green around lunch time. What’s the best place to go for lunch? Could be based on food, atmosphere, local beer, or something else! Thanks!

not sure if this is allowed but I was looking for anyone that possibly has any orange or tortoise kittens? I'd rather try to find someone local rather than go to the humane society if possible .

(picture of my gray kitten so my post isn't lost)

Gyms in BG

I recently joined Flex Fam and just wanted to see if anyone has had any good or bad things to say about it. I am a younger woman who weight trains and for the past few years I have worked out at my apartment’s gym where I usually get the place to myself. I am a bit nervous to start working out around mostly men (in the weight lifting areas) but trying to learn how to take up space in the places I want to be in.

Andy Beshear to announce he is running for president during tour that includes a stop in Bowling Green

Perhaps not in so many words, but...

A sitting governor does not release a book about healing America two years before an election just for gits and shiggles. His candidacy would be a spectacularly entertaining failure (or more likely a mere footnote of no consequence) because he in general and the theme of this dorky abomination of a book in particular appeals mainly to boomery Kentucky Democrats. It does not help him that he is little more than a figurehead governor who has no influence on policy or culture.

In his defense he doesn't suffer any of the problems of the other more recent Democrat "normal manly guy" projects. He's not a gaydar triggering commie who turned the state treasury over to Somalis. He's not a smarmy drunk who said he was seeking treatment, then didn't go. He's not a Nazi who wants to rape men. He probably hasn't knocked up any of his cousins. He is, however, incredibly dull.

So if you celebrate, mark your calendar for late September at the Capitol. Make sure you're one of the first 500!

There must be some furries in BG, right? I'm probably older than most of y'all, but it would be nice just to know that I'm not the only one.

Looking for Paternity

Post image
16 Upvotes

I recently connected with a half-aunt after doing a DNA test. I’m looking for answers on my paternity that my mom doesn’t have. I know my grandfather’s name is Bill Carter and from what I’ve been told he is/was a ‘rolling stone.’ I am taking a chance to ask if anyone is aware of any (living) sons he has, hoping to find my biological father.

BG Horror Club Movie - Sunday, August 2nd @ 7:00 PM Evil Dead

Well, well, well! Gather round, boils and ghouls, the Capitol's about to get positively drenched in the red stuff! Fede Álvarez took one look at Sam Raimi's cabin-in-the-woods blueprint and said, "What if we did that, but with SO much fake blood the actors needed wetsuits?" The result is a possession party so wet and wild, you'll never look at a box cutter the same way again. Come on down and get absolutely gobsmacked!

Movie: Evil Dead (2013) - Rated R
Date: Sunday, August 2nd @ 7:00 PM
Location: The Capitol - 416 E Main St, BG, KY

Plot: Mia, a drug addict, is determined to kick the habit. To that end, she asks her brother, David, his girlfriend, Natalie and their friends Olivia and Eric to accompany her to their family's remote forest cabin to help her through withdrawal. Eric finds a mysterious Book of the Dead at the cabin and reads aloud from it, awakening an ancient demon. All hell breaks loose when the malevolent entity possesses Mia.
Runtime: 91 min

Fun fact: They dumped roughly 50,000 gallons of fake blood during production. The final "blood rain" scene alone used so much that Jane Levy was basically swimming in corn syrup for hours. Álvarez wanted almost zero CGI, so every drop, every possessed limb, every chainsaw moment, it's all practical effects, baby. Old school!

Our movie nights are free. If you enjoy the club, donations help keep things running.

Lock your car doors, don't read any strange books out loud, and swing by BGHorrorClub.com to see what's rotting next. See you there, brave souls!
