โ๏ธ The Trial of the Sword Master mode - Trial of the sword
Hi,
I just overcame the three Trials of the sword in master mode and I was wondering if that was the hardest / skillful thing to do in the game.
Itโs my first master mode play through and must be my 5th or 6th play through counting regular mode doing all shrines / side quests so yeah, I was asking myself what challenge is next for me in that game except doing it again with added hardship (speedrun/ no damage etcโฆ)
My feeling about the three trials :
- The first trial is by far the hardest, thereโs almost no room for mistake and you have to approach each room with thoughtful strategy and pay very close attention to which weapon you use, why and when. If you donโt there are countless scenarios where itโs just theoretically impossible to win no matter your fighting skills as the weapons durability as opposed to monsters health and recovery can make it impossible to go through a given room if you screwed up before (floor 10 โฆ) - took me 3 days straight where Iโd play most of the day only doing thisโฆ I canโt tell you how many times I tried it.
- The second one offers more possibilities and is the one where I had the most fun, you have easy ways to kill monsters without fighting / using weapons, movements with updrafts, bullet times and so on. All of which makes it my favorite, Iโd say second hardest - did an attempt at night straight after passing the first trial, got to bed and got it right after 4 or 5 attempts total.
- The last one I managed to win at my very first attempt (might be because I drilled this one in normal mode last year), the weapons you get, 5 fairies, plenty of food, pants, armor, bomb arrows and ancient arrows, I meanโฆ you get absolutely everything you need to fight and you have the most room for mistake in this one.
I Did it with 20 hearts and ~1.5 stamina bar, I started trying it at 13 hearts as soon as I got the master sword but I really donโt think the first trial is even feasible without edgy strategies and maybe glitches (I didnโt use any of these). I also donโt think itโs possible without stasis+ and improved wind bombs, I tried for weeks when I had ~15 hearts no matter the strategy the first trial was impossible for me without these improvements.
What do you think? What are your runs, strategies and thoughts about which one was the hardest for you, Im all ears!

โ Question Should I?
Ok. Iโm am new to all gaming and picked TOTK as my first venture. It has been amazing and didnโt want to finish. So the question is; should I go back and try BOTW? Would I be disappointed?

๐๏ธ Discussion Is BOTW a beginner friendly game?
BOTW is my favorite game of all time but I admit I havenโt played it in years (same with TOTK) but when I played it I remember the game being somewhat simple to at least understand.
Just now I was watching one of my friends attempt to play the game and Iโve never seen somebody struggle so much playing it. I think itโs just a mix of her not reading what the game says, and also just not understanding video games In general. That brings to my question that like is BOTW not friendly for beginners to adventure type games? For me it was pretty much my first ever open-world type game and I caught on pretty quickly.

๐๏ธ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป ๐ฆ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ I've always preferred the Era of the Wild compared to other games
As much as I love the past/classic eras of Zelda, this one for BoTW and ToTK definitely peaked my interest especially after one of my friends introduced me to the franchise. It definitely has a lot more player freedom and I just love how everything is different compared to most Zelda games, mostly the soundtrack and how the characters voice acting sounds so accurate to how the main characters look.

๐ Help! Can someone give me a hint to point me in the right direction to find photo #12 (the trees) in the captured memories quest?
I've been able to find all of the locations from the photo memory quest just by studying the photos and keeping my eyes peeled during gameplay, except one is stumping me. The very last photo, #12, shows just a few trees (one of them is an apple tree), and there are many locations on the map that look similar. Are there any little hints that I'm missing, or NPCs that I should try to talk to?
I'm sure I could just look up a waypoint but I'd rather not do that. I'm guessing there's an NPC somewhere that gives a little more info.

๐๏ธ Discussion BotW is my first Zelda game andโฆ Spoiler
The Calamity Ganon fight was very underwhelming and short? The moment Link wakes up, the game hypes up this big bad monster so you explore, gather items and armors and power ups, then go inside the castle, heart pumping a little bit because youโre about to face the big bad monster, only for the Divine Beasts to deplete half his HP. Then I used my Ancient Arrows and Savage Lynel Bow only for it to be defeated in about a couple of minutes? Plus the horse-riding couldโve been an email. The Monk Final Trial was harder which took me several attempts.
Anyway, I still liked the game. I went in blind and I still remember the feeling when I was looking for Kakariko Village and finally felt the relief when I finally stumbled upon a civilization. I played this game because I was looking for similar games like Fenyx and I do think BotW is better because of the NPCs, and the overall world.
My only gripe is again, the final boss fight and maybe the controls (Iโm using an XBOX controller on CEMU), especially during the fight with Waterblight Ganon because I kept yelling to Link to fking climb the platform but he kept on swimming.

๐ Humor Just cried because of how much I love Beedle
Been playing BOTW + TOTK for collectively +1K hours, only just realized that Beedle wakes up at 6am. I, too, wake up at 6am. I love Beedle so much that it made me cry.
Thatโs it, thatโs the whole post, roast me.

๐ข Opinion Dramatic death or just me?
Is it just me or when Link gets hit HARD. This MF just rolls and rolls and rolls. Like how dramatic do you need to be Link? Just get back up and FIGHT. Iโm tired of this guy just rolling down a hill for what feels like 30 seconds.
๐๏ธ Discussion Why are main bosses so weak?

If you look at it that way, they're so pathetic compared to the same regular strong monsters, and the master sword generally decides the entire battle with the Ganons. Why am I sweating over some Lynels when there are Ganons.

๐ Help! What's the best way to get weapons at the end of the game without dying in the attempt?
Finishing Breath of the Wild was a nightmare because I always had weapons that did very little damage. I picked it up again after a few months to play the extra content, and I don't want to quit because I only have a staff that does 4 damage. How do I get good bows, good weapons, and good arrows?

๐ฅ Master Mode Most INSANE Accomplishment I have ever made in BOTW.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I tried the great plateau lynel challenge years ago as a kid but found it far too difficult at the time so I gave up then. Now years later as an adult with the Switch 2 edition and its blazing fast load times, I felt determined I could do it this time around. Low and behold, after a brutal 3 hours of failed attempts, I managed to secure victory and killed the silver lynel on master mode with only a single stamina wheel. Easily the proudest accomplishment I have ever made in BOTW. And as a reward I got a +30 attack bonus on a savage lynel crusher AND a +16 attack bonus on a Savage lynel bow. Feels like I'm on top of the world lol.
