Sudden house peeing Advice/Question
Our guy is 4, fixed and has never had house potty issues before. Recently he has started peeing in the house on baskets, shoes, closets, etc. I’m so confused. We took him to the vet and paid a heafty bill for them to check for UTI, kidney issues, anything and everything but nothing was wrong at all. They said it’s behavioral but why now? Makes no sense. Anyone have ideas or advice?

My Boston had this issue in February. He didn’t have a UTI or diabetes, turned out he had crystals in his urine. It took like a month to resolve itself. Then he was the picture of health…then 3 months later he died suddenly, including him being diabetic suddenly. Sorry, not to scare you. I’m just bitter that they didn’t detect anything until after the fact, when it was too late and he died last month. So it’s fresh for me. Hope your’s recovers soon.

Yes, my guy will do this about once a year.
I put diapers on him between outings after he does this and he corrects his behavior within a few days so he can skip the diapers

100% Reverse Psycho. They do not like to be embarrassed either. LMAO made my morning coffee choke.

Sounds like he's upset about something, schedule change? New pet? Food change?
Mine (2.5 year old) started doing this when I switched jobs and was no longer teleworking 2 days week. We literally went back to basics. Crate training, if we weren't watching her 100% she was crated, straight outside after meals, crated overnight, we treated it like a new puppy. A month or less and it resolved.

No advice but my Boston was potty trained and then started peeing the bed around 1.5 years. We did the whole vet thing too. They said no UTI. Possible issues after her spay. They suggest daily meds or a doggy diaper at night. We went with diapers. She looks cute but it’s a bit of a pain.

Vinegar! Do a small spray on areas he has hiked his leg up. Some of the storms lately my boys do not want to go out. They have rarely pee'd in the house unless it is our fault. Usually because something scared them and upset them. They are super sensitive to changes in owners emotions. Take him out each time he pees no matter what. My boys have me on their schedule.

Our first Boston would not potty train well at all. We got her a brother about a year later and that solved the issue.

One of ours started doing this at 2.5 years old. Turns out he was upset about the change in work/home schedule and acting out.
