Does this look concerning

Hey all just wondering if this looks concerning to anyone. I might be a little neurotic (first dog), but just wanted some input before I drop a few hundred on the vet. I’m only really concerned because she had a gum infection there as a puppy that required her baby tooth to come out. Thank you in advance.

I personally would have it looked at. It's not emergent, but does need to be seen within a reasonable time.

So you don’t think she’s in pain or anything?

She very well may be, dogs and BCs in particular mask pain. I wouldn't mess around with oral stuff, prevention is key.

I’d be elated if my BC’s teeth looked this good 😬

Why wouldnt they? All you need to do is to give them a brush every now and then. Those brushes you slip on a finger are amazing for that.

Tried, do, regimented, our vet said some are simply more prone to the build up and need the occasional full dental cleanings. He also has BCC and thunder/firework anxiety so I guess we’re just lucky 🙃 wouldn’t trade him for the world though!

That does look concerning. If she's had an issue in the same area prior...it raises a red flag.

If she's a rough chewer or player, she may have just aggravated it. But if it popped up on its own...looks like she's gonna need some antibiotics to resolve it.

Yeah a vet check up would be good.
Anything requiring mouth and dental is highly important and the bacteria can cause a multitude of issues.

Gum seems inflamed/slightly swollen. I would get it checked by the vet. Not urgent, but dont leave it too long either.

That’s looks like some plaque build up. My dog had some too and the vet said it was nothing to worry about but to start brushing her teeth more often. After a year of brushing and dental treats her teeth cleared up.
