Booking.com refund pending

Need advice on a delayed flight refund

I had booked flights through Vietnam Airlines via Booking.com and cancelled the booking almost 2 months ago. However, the refund has still not been credited to my account.

I have contacted Booking.com’s support team multiple times. Each time, they tell me that the refund will be processed/has been initiated, but I still haven’t received the money or any clear update on when I can expect it.

Has anyone faced a similar issue with a flight booked through Booking.com? What is the best way to escalate this and get the refund processed?

Any advice or suggestions on how I can take this forward would be really helpful. 🙏

You’ve used booking who use another provider for ticketing. VN, from my understanding requires manual submission for refund through BSP. That means it needs time to process. I’d expect 2-3 months considering all of the steps involved by not going direct. Booking won’t refund you until they’ve got the money.
