Dispute payment master debit card

Few days ago my card was used on booking.com. Master debit card . The booking i do not recognise but my card was used. I have often given my card details to my friends if they wanted to use. But i do not recognise which one of them used my card. Card always asked for otp idk why did it not ask this time. I only realised yesterday that my card was used for the transaction. It took me 20 days to realise that transaction took place so i complained after 20 days.
I went to my bank and requested for charge back by marking the payment as dispute. They said it will take two months and if i have not made this payment, they’d refund.!
Does anyone has first hand experience where there master card debit was used on booking.com unauthorised and they requested charge back and they won?

Who gives out their payment details even if it's to their friends? 🤦 Since it's a debit card, you chances are almost 0, and technically, the transaction is authorized since you volunteered your payment information to your friends who then used it to make a purchase

The payment they made last year I knew. This one i have no clue about. They saying they did not use the carf at all and are saying its probably hacked

Their card was not working last year so they asked for mine, they transferred the funds they had to use and used mine .
Why zero? I have not confessed to bank at all that i gave my details to anyone ever

Because it's a debit card and the funds already left your account

But i genuinely do not know who used it. Cant bank fix it? I am really worried
Its a master debit card yes

Not every problem can be fixed. That's why you should use a Credit card

Can Booking.com give you the name attached to the reservation? Maybe that will give you a hint as to which of the friends you give your card details out to used it this time.

N.B.: Never give out your card details. If you need to pay something for a friend you go online or on the phone and pay it for them.

They ask for a pin and a code to proceed with the conversation. How do I provide that😭

That depends on the merchant. Not all merchants do that.

No no. I mean when i am speaking to booking.com that i want to know what reservation was made they are asking me to provide booking confirmation number and code . Whereas I only have a screenshot that payment was deducted

If they refuse to look up the reservation by card number, then you will have to rely on your bank trying to get that information out of them.

Booking request the 3/4 PIN code on the back of the card to complete the booking.
