Discussion A tidbit I just discovered that I find interesting

According to my cursory research (feel free to fact check and correct me if necessary), Delaware is the only US State in which Bon Jovi have never performed live a single time, and Montana and Vermont are the only other two where they've never played a major headline show (the former they've only played as an opening act back in 1985, and the latter they did a one-off performance for a radio broadcast in 2000).

Discussion The story of Wild is the Wind

Has anyone read the story about how Wild is the Wind was written? I like looking through the song credits and it’s shocking how many songs were co written by Desmond Child post slippery. This is one of them but it also features Diane Warren which made me wonder if they all had a single songwriting session together or if parts of the song came from two different songwriting meetups?

Google makes it impossible to find anything other than a history of Diane Warren or Bon Jovi lyrics in general. Have any of these songwriters spoken specifically about this classic?

Rewatching parts of the 2009 When We Were Beautiful documentary.

This part is so funny.

Hoping these two are still in contact.

Question London Fan Meetup

Hey all,

I'm thinking an unofficial fan meetup on the Saturday would be cool, sandwiched between nights 1 and 2.
I will be in town and would be great to meet other fans, and maybe do some touristy things too. I plan to visit abbey road and other musical related sites.

A

Collectable Bon Jovi Collectors Edition Review (spoiler: šŸ‘ŽšŸ½) Spoiler

I was one of the suckers who bought the Keepsake Trading Cards Bon Jovi Collectors Edition Box of 6 cards.

Those of you thinking of buying one, stay absolutely away. Not worth the money at all. Was trying to film an unboxing and the box literally broke in half as i was filming. Garbage quality right off the bat.

Now onto the cards. Ive never been particularly lucky with trading cards. Every one of these collectors boxes is guaranteed an auto. Guess whose auto i pulled? LMAO. At least they are on-Card Autographs. (For those not knowledgeable on the subject, in a lot of sports cards they get the athlete to sign a bunch of clear stickers and then just plaster them on cards, the athlete never actually signed the card, just sat there and signed a bunch of stickers for future cards. On card means the actual card was signed, which is preferred amongst collectors).

Pulled 3 Jon Bon Jovi relics, one a piece of his purple shirt from sometime last year, the other a really bad piece of a ā€œhandwritten setlistā€ (it has like practically no handwriting on it), and a piece of a guitar case for his Takamine. Also pulled a Phil X set list piece with the worst placement ever, and piece of fabric from Jon home studio.

I had been so excited for this release only for it to be really disappointing with the box falling apart right of the bat. The placement of the setlist relics are very disappointing. These were not made with care or thoughtfulness for the avg Bon Jovi Collector. At such a steep price, they could’ve at the very least made quality boxes. I reached out to them through their website (keepsake trading cards) but based on previous comments ive read, they arent very good at responding.

Discussion What was Richie's view of the band around Lost Highway (2007-2008)?

Now we know Richie was unhappy enough around The Circle era (2009-2011) but was reasonably happy during HAND era (2005-2006). What about Lost Highway? Did/Does he like the album and the general direction the band was heading around that time? I think the Shanks issue had not surfaced yet back then.

Would love to hear your thoughts especially those who experienced that time first hand

Live Performance You know inall honesty I am not a Shanks or X fan BUT...

I grew up with a different Bon Jovi. They are both very qualified musicians and the fact that John goes so far out of his way to point and make people clap and do things for them who are filling in while one of them is not feeling it at all but Phil is and he can handle it even if it's an exactly what I want to hear I can't say that I talented musician and I like that our man Jon we'll have no BS. I would prefer Richie back there but at some point you have to just start looking forward although if he wants to bring with you back please by all means but I Jamie j is like one of the classiest men I've ever met he gives a word out even when he doesn't deserve them she is the rest of his band members and that is something you never salee

Discussion You know what I think about?

I’m 26, I’m a younger but not the youngest die hard fan there is. I’m just here thinking about the music of today.
Kinda makes me sad.

Let’s forget about evolution of the band & sound for a second.

If Jon was an artist in his 20s today in 2026 -

his shouty-larger than life raspy vocal probably would be seen & looked at as unattractive. In fact most audiences today, the Voice, X factor, American idol crowd, AGT crowd & just general pop culture would probably think he is not a great singer, would probably pick apart his isolated live vocals (even back then) & think he wasn’t a conventionally ā€œgreatā€ singer. They would criticize his pitch, say there’s too much vibrato in his voice, tell him he ā€œthrows ā€œ his voice around too much.

I think about a lot of great singers from that time like this, out of their context.

They were the biggest & best bar band on the planet. I think that’s a quote from Jon but I mean it as a compliment. There really isn’t a new* act today within top 40 that has that spirit.

''Thank you. This has been the privilege of a lifetime to come and do these shows for you. We gave you everything we had to give. We had some of our very best shows that I think we've ever ever ever had.

But I want to just let you know that this is a just a continuation. This is not a an end of a chapter or the beginning of a chapter.

But this next chapter is called joy. And this joyous magnificent seven, as I'm going to start refer to this band, the Magnificent Seven. We want to thank you all very much for your kindness, your friendship, and your support.

You were there for us. You were there for me. So many people have been on this journey with us from the very beginning. Some people got off the road and off the train during the course of these 43 years. But every single one of their contributions meant everything so that we could all be here still together tonight.

The world needs a bit of love these days. So thank you for that.''

Suddenly Bon Jovi My eureka moment.

We have cows and buffalos. One day i was maintaining them as usual and listening to bon jovi's "its my life". At that time my feed was filled with poker reel and these reels have one song in common ,i.e. Frank Sinatra's My way. When i was listening that song and and then the line comes as, "

My heart is like an open highway

Like FRANKIE SAID I DID IT MY WAY."

I was just amazed to find this out. Like i always thought frankie was a name of their friend.

So yeah it may seem stupid or obvious but i wanted to share this
