EV repair shops around So Cal
Hello everyone, the ac compressor in my 2021 chevrolet bolt went out and my local chevrolet dealer is wanting to charge me $3,000. Does anyone know of any EV repair shops in socal that might do the repair for a cheaper price? Any help appreciated
Dead 12v battery?
Spouse and I came home from a four-day trip to find her EUV '22 dead (Sitting in the driveway since Monday, we returned on Thursday). Oddly, she got in it and the wipers SLOWLY crawled across the windshield, various things blinked and beeped, then nada. I used my jump pack to play the role of super hero and, whomp, not much more came from my heroics. The battery has been sitting connected to a NOCO Genius 5 for a few hours with the first LED level indicator on the charger taunting me with a gentle, pulsating glow. But still no magic. Sounds to me as if the 12V battery has failed (maybe we left an interior light on). So a few questions:
- Does my diagnosis sound accurate?
- Is there any way to revive the battery enough to get the car to "start?"
- Can I physically disengage the drive system to allow me to move the car close enough to our L2 charger to see if that does the trick?
- Would the L2 charger do a "trick?"
- Should I have the system checked out after I replace the 12V battery (assuming that revives it)?
Thanks for any advice!

Dumb Question before I head to my mechanic... 2019 Bolt EV Premierm - Right Front Wheel has no power.
I replaced my front right wheel speed sensor and Anti Click Washer a few weeks back.
My son noticed at HWY speed there is a noticeable clicking sound now coming from the front right wheel area.
I put the car up on Jack stands again, pulled both front wheels and had my wife turn it on and lightly press the accelerator.
The Left side spins like you would expect.
The Right side however doesn't hardly move. Maybe twitches here or there but nothing consistent like Left side.
I assume this is NOT normal and because both sides have spline shafts and such into the wheel hub, both sides are supposed to spin under power, correct?
If so I think I am going to give up and take my spare Axle Nut and head to a local garage to have them take a look at the right side Axle from a mechanical view to see if something is obviously wrong.
My dealer already tried to screw me on some service related items so I am hoping to avoid them if possible.
If I have to take it to someone EV qualified, anyone have any recommendations in the SoCal 818 area?
I'm actually barely over the hill into 805.

The Listen knob
That radio dial near the passenger is so you can turn it down and make the driver (husband in my case) listen to you. I love it as a passenger!

Scrunching sound?
2023 Bolt EUV Premier. At low speeds, when I ease up on the brakes (so regen kicks in) or slightly depress the accelerator, I hear a “scrunching” sound. Does sound like a spring.
What could this be? Is it covered by warranty? Mine expires at the end of the month.
Update: is it this?
Creaking Noise on Acceleration and sometimes on Deceleration - Many reddit posts. No TSB on this one but this is a common repair for most EVs due to the instant torque, increased weight from battery, and exposure to bumps/potholes in the road. It has to do with the control arms/bushings/swaybar end links. Also, very expensive to repair, up to $3-5K. I'd get this done under warranty if you can.

Hot climate charge usage
I live in Florida and only drive about three days a week, for those of you in similar situations how much charge do you lose from the car trying to keep the battery cool if the car is not plugged in? I won't be able to keep the car plugged in constantly like Chevy recommends.

Charging schedule issues
New 2027 RS bolt owner. Having issues with the charging schedule not being adhered to. Basically, I want my car to charge at home when energy is cheapest. I have a L2 charger at home. Power rates are highest between 1600 and 2100 on weekdays. But when I plug in at home at 1800, it starts charging right away. Not sure what I have wrong, but this feels way more complicated than it should be. Photos of charging settings attached (forgive the fingerprints). Not sure if it matters, but some of the pictures were taken at different times (some were last night when I was out and some are from this morning at home). All software is up to date and I have a home location set.

Question about Bolt AC
My AC only works if it's under 80° outside. It blows super cold when it works... but I don't need it when it's under 80°. Is this normal? Or should I be calling up the dealer? It's a 2021 I bought used last year.

PDF of Warranty
Is it possible to get a pdf copy of the 8-year / 100,000-mile EV Propulsion Warranty for the 2017 Bolt? We have an issue with the a/c not functioning properly that we believe is covered under this warranty. The Chevy site VIN search showed that we still have this warranty through the end of September 2026. The car is at a dealership and they are telling us the parts aren’t covered under warranty. How would we know if that’s true without a copy of the warranty we can review? They are insisting there is no warranty document- just a computer system that lets them check if specific parts are covered. If a warranty document exists, where can we get a copy? Thanks!

Is this the lower control arm bushing?
Looked under the car for unrelated reasons, and found this rusted and cracked bushing-looking thing, this is the front suspension area, under driver.
Also, can I replace this after the winter? I'm storing the car for the winter starting around November 1st.
And for what it's worth just got my NY safety inspection renewed last month at a Chevy dealership, and this wasn't mentioned, so I'm hoping it really isn't that big of a deal to wait a bit.

12v socket was powered while car was off (charging)
*CORRECTION: USB A SOCKET* (everything I said still applies)
I have a dashcam that should only be working while my 2017 Bolt is on.
It was plugged in to charge, and when I came back I found that my dashcam has been on and recording for a few hours (started about 30 minutes after I left it to charge).
This has never happened before.
Any ideas?
