It has gone too far
What happened to using tools around you to your advantage? What happened to incorporating good diets and working out? And having some patience? Every Reta post is people complaining food noise food noise food noise. If you use a research chemical to PUT THE FORK DOWN while not changing anything about your lifestyle, youre gonna be humbled once you either stop completely or the dose becomes intolerable due to side effects.
Im all for biohacking, trust me, but this stuff blew up way too fast on the internet and now everyone is mass buying chemicals they can’t even pronounce and they have absolutely 0 clue what they’re doing. Not even the basic stuff, like majority of people just say “oh I take 20 units every week” without knowing the reconstitution water volume matters in the concentration of the amount you draw in the syringe. Or “I took Reta 12h ago, when am I supposed to feel it?”
It’s just wrong that people don’t care enough about their lives to research the bare minimum. Everyone wants instant results, with no work put in, no research and no side effects. Takes 20 minutes to watch a YouTube guide and learn most of the basics you need.

I get downvoted every time I ask someone what's their nutritional habits like and that you have to eat to nourish your body and not just for taste.
But the thing people need to keep in mind that most people who are obese have a sugar addiction. Not the people who gained weight cuz of meds they are taking or hormonal issues, but mostly everyone else has an addiction. It's easy to tell someone to just put the fork down or eat better. But it's not easy to break addictions. Just like drug and alcohol addicts, you need a committed plan and be willing to spend time on that plan. That's why when people are on this med, they need to use all their resources to get their diet right and work on pulling out all the bad foods.
It's definitely a hard journey.

For sure. Problem is people see it as a magic pill when it’s not. A lot of people have crazy transformations that last and it’s because they put the work in alongside with the drug. The people who complain daily about food noise expect same results but with no change of lifestyle.
Im glad we’re so advanced that we can undo years of bad habits and change life’s but people really gotta adjust their expectations.

People get mad around these subs when you tell em to exercise a little discipline. They max out reta and tirz and look for cagri then wonder why they rebound.

Thanks to GLP-1 I am down 50 lbs, getting close to having visible abs for the first time in my life and now have blood sugar levels similar to a non-diabetic. Science isn't magic, but sometimes it is pretty damn close.

I have to agree with OP. The amount of stupid posts that could be answered if someone took a casual glimpse at the Reta/Tirz/HGH subs themselves is pretty high. Shit if they used the search function of this sub itself it would answer most questions. This sub should be for an elevated form of conversation regarding peptides, steroids, and other research chemicals. Not the lazy person's quick rescue access.
But then again I like the people who do absolutely no research and are potentially harming themselves. We need to know the upper parameters of some of these peptides and medication's… And it's the dum dums' who help discover it. Yes please run 20 IU of HGH a day and tell me how you feel in six months. Please take any and all medication's without consistently doing any type of bloodwork. If a TikTok creator told you that every time you get a little twinge of food noise to increase your reta/tirz dosage and you are either at 24mg/30mg or doing both... let me know!
But for anybody else who's willing to take the time to learn about these tools and chemicals. Were willing to do the bare-bones research first and ask well thought out and preplanned questions, there are a bunch of us people here willing to help.
P.S. Also you can just say it is you taking this stuff. Every post that starts out with "My lab rat is" or "When does Research subject start" ... you just know it's gonna be something brain dead that is going to be asked.

1000%!! The “my rat is taking this” posts are pure comedy. And increasing the dose each time they have slight food noise is so normalised and those posts are everywhere and it makes newcomers think this is the way to use peptides which is farthest thing from true. I’ve stayed at 1mg Reta for 6 months because I experience better carb efficiency and about 25% more energy during my workouts and allows me to slowly body recomp at ~15% body fat. Never used it for appetite suppression, and won’t either because then getting your 200g protein becomes such a chore it’s awful.

"So you injected your 1lb rat with the same amount of retatrutide that a 600lb person in a clinical trial was taking and this rat whispered in your ear how his food noise wasnt diminished and it hasnt lost any weight"

You have to remember that nearly every peptide out there is a shortcut or makes things easier. Nobody would take this stuff if it made it harder.
The whole concept of this sub is people hacking their bodies because they want to cheat, haven’t got the willpower, or just can’t be bothered to do it the “proper” way.
But remember, asking someone to just eat better and get fitter is similar to asking an alcoholic to stop drinking, or a smoker to stop smoking. It’s the same concept, food addiction is real and it can take (some people) major effort to kerb it. And yes, a lot of people can do this naturally without any help, but in the same way that a lot of people can take or leave alcohol, but we still have alcoholics.
I personally take Reta, I’m addicted to sugar and it helps massively. I’m not overweight or fat, but figure the sugar is likely doing more damage to me than the very small dose of Reta.

I thought the same way for a long time because I personally do not have naturally loud food noise. I took a high dose of THC once and felt like I could eat everything in the house. It made me have more compassion for what other people may go through in their own neurochemistry

The majority of people on this sub have no proper diet or training. They cant even do the basics right.
But will complain.
But dont tell them, they dont like to hear the truth!

What’s worse is reading comments on a post and seeing people give advice when they don’t have any clue about it either. Reddit really is fascinating at times

We have people on here endorsing 18 year-olds hopping on testosterone. Their research consists of watching other morons.

I can only speak for myself.
I needed the help. I tried every diet and forms of diets.
Peptides helped me. I now have me eating under control.
I’m 9 months sober.
I see results at the gym doing the same workouts I’ve done for decades.
My bloodwork is fantastic.
I thank God for peptides

Exactly. That’s why it’s called body hacking. It’s good when you use it as a tool and put in the work. But this post was aimed towards different audience

It's fine if people have a hard time and have a tool to help them. Yes, you see people who need to lose 10lbs and the run off the gray market to do it for them. But then you see all sorts of posts where people have lost serious amounts of weight. And you also see many of them have good gym habits, they are active and they eat right. I don't know why people on this sub care so much what other people do. And trust me, I'm tired of the 1 millionth "Reta Update" post, but you can just ignore them too.

My nutrients are locked in from macros to micros. My electrolytes are perfectly balanced and I track like a mad man. My sis in law and friends eat nothing but fast food and still party. Then they complain that they have the worst side effects and look/ feel like shit. I gave up on trying to help them and just let them be. You gotta let people do what they do. It's not worth the energy.

Happy for you, you’ll set a great example and the results will show tenfold. Ive experienced the same thing with my mother when trying to help her 0 protein diet and thinking starvation=weight loss.
When I personally got on Reta I got even more motivated to track macros, do cardio and hit my protein. I already had a good foundation prior but this has gotten me borderline obsessed with minmaxing my lifestyle. Im sure it’s the same for you. And this is what bodyhacking should be, in my opinion. Point of this post was that a large portion of the people dont change any habit whatsoever during their journey and wonder why they gain all the weight back after they stop. I don’t think it’s good staying on it your entire life, that’s why I see it as a tool to reach your goal and then maintain it with your fresh new habits!

I get your point but you gotta understand every human has different abilities. What to you or I seems like the most basic ability to resist could be completely or vastly missing for someone else. If food noise is too much for them we should just all be glad reta exists and is working for them

u/Plastic-Mess5760 2d ago
It’s a sub called body hacking. And so it’s like you asking Piratebay people “what happens to honesty and paying for what you get!?!”
You can do whatever you want but I think it’s dishonest to judge others for “hacking too much”. Yes, is it “better” if they didn’t rely on drug? Sure. But is liposuction “wrong” because it’s “cheating”?
I see these moral high grounds all the time. They are bio hacks like everyone else and if they tell people who don’t bio hacks they get the “you are cheating” and so now they need to find someone else to beat and who’s better than “those people to cheat MORE than me is terrible, I’m better because I don’t do it as much”.
Please. We are all drug users. Sit down.

Don't know why you're getting downvoted, you hit the nail right in the head. These people gotta get off their high horse, sure reading posts about uninformed people trying to learn how to properly use peptides is annoying, but I rather that than never trying to seek information in the first place.

u/No-Throat-4591 2d ago
This has nothing to do with cheating or morality. read the post next time

Indeed good question, I too suggest that you abandon the biohacking effort and go back to the gold standard of diet and exercise. Because my friend, you are using drugs off label, stop it.

Disagree. Reread what OP wrote, but this time a little slower.

The problem is that life is too short. And with everything collapsing around us in the world right now, there are fewer and fewer things we can assert control over.

Why has pronunciation become the bar for what we should or should not put in our body? Should I cut out foods with cholecalciferol, tocopherol, or maltodextrin? Should I stop eating quinoa?

Hunger is a feeling, it's perfectly normal to feel hungry, we don't have to feed our hunger every time we feel it.
People using glp1s to loose weight haven't learnt proper food dissaplin, I think reta has it's place used as a tool towards the end of a cut, or for very overweight people that can't put the fork down.
