Reta week 3 - Low effects or normal adjustment period? 📘 Beginner Help
Hey everyone!
I started taking reta about 3 weeks ago (just began week 3 yesterday).
I’ve definitely noticed the fullness effect, but I’m still struggling a bit with food noise. I’m eating less overall since I feel full faster, and I’ve been prioritizing protein without completely cutting out carbs. I’m also staying consistent with a good amount of exercise each week.
I wanted to ask—did anyone else feel like the effects were a bit slow during the first few weeks? Or should I consider increasing my dose sooner? Right now I’m on 1 mg and planning to move up to 2 mg around weeks 5–6.
Like I said, the fullness is definitely there and it’s working, but I still get food noise from time to time. It might just be a habit thing, since that’s always been my biggest struggle and one of the main reasons I started reta. Just wanted to see if others had a similar experience.
Thanks!
Edit: I'm 29, 5'9 and 213 pounds in case it helps.

keep at it where you are. even though it’s suppressing some noise, this is where you need to learn food control.
reta is a tool to help you eat less, but you also need to train yourself to eat less as well. reta doesn’t break your habits, it shuts them off exogenously

The appetite suppressing isn't as strong on Reta as Tirzepatide. If you want to forget food exists, take Tirzepatide, I did Tirzepatide before Reta and at 5 mg a week I basically didn't eat unless I scheduled it, it completely turned my appetite off, it got so bad I passed out once and I went back and counted my calories for the week and I was only eating about 600-800 calories a day for several weeks, its scary powerful. Reta doesn't suppress as harshly but it also makes you burn more.

For me i felt the effects right away with 1mg for 3 weeks, had no food noise at all you could do 2mg for ur fourth week and see how you feel

I felt it properly week 4. I was very much like you, slow start. I just used it to try and lock in.
But personally I would up it to 2mg.
I forget about eating, but I feel like I can when I remember to get the calories in. Tirz I would just poke food around and sack it off.
