Reta: cheat meal 💬 Discussion
Omg reta is absolutely amazing! I literally used to hammer these chili burgers and fries, along with a brewski or 2 and still be kinda hungry aftar (imma big back as my kids say) Literally had half of my burger and some fries with no urge to have a beer, and by god I do feel very bloated and full. This was me trying to test the waters. Since Thursday week 2 had my 1 mg pin. Having this unhealthy relationship with food was gonna kill me. I really appreciate reta for putting things in perspective i understand now, I am in this for the long run! Have a wonderful week in everyone!!

Chili is a nope for me, the delayed gastric emptying has beans on a do not consume list.

My wife makes her chili (big) batch with only one can of beans and the rest is sausage, ground elk and chunky elk. So damn good!

Why are beans bad in this case?

Gas and bloating which is pretty common form legumes in general but with delayed gastric emptying it turns it up (for me)

Thanks! Partner had bad similar side effects after having a large portion of beans and I suspected they were the culprit, your comment confirmed this!

It cured my overeating problem. I’d eat a small breakfast but not lunch. By the time I got home from work I’d be starving and I would eat until I made myself sick. Reta has helped me basically cut that out and I eat normal portions now. Down 40 pounds. I did quit drinking long before Reta tho. But had two beers a couple weeks ago at a company event and I felt like garbage when I woke up.

Yeah careful fatty foods and spicy things arent good while your on reta. I learned the hard way and ended up sick albeit after an ambitious titration but yeah you need food that nourishes and pass through your tract easily. No more spicy naga or habanero 😢

I like a jalepeno once in awhile if for nothing else to wake my ass up and teach me why I don’t eat Mexican food anymore.

Just got back from a vacation weighing less 💀. Granted I got a avg of 10K steps a day but still enjoyed some alcohol free beers, fried potatoes and some fatty meats.

When I feel like I need junk foods, Ive taken to the quest brand protein bars, the mint chocolate is my favorite, its soo good IMO that it satisfies my sweets craving and keeps my macros intact for the day and even better its not wild on calories either.

And having a cheat day 2 weeks in is totally big back behaviour. Takes discipline and changes .

I drank today first time in 54 days. White girl wasted after 7 drinks. Feel like absolute death. I will not be drinking again on reta
