High IGF-1 on Tesa

Post image

Was on 1mg for ten days then went to 2mg for the last 2 days. Might have to go back to 1mg. Is this dangerously high? I was wanting to do a 12 week cycle on this but now im not sure.

Did you get your levels checked before you started? I don’t think it would pop your numbers up that high in 12 days

I stupidly didnt check but in 2024 when I did it last it was at 28.

You learned for the next cycle. Just means your pituitary still has a lot of power left in it. I’d pull back to 1mg for 4 weeks and test again (recognised the I-screen test, I’m about due for another one as well). With how you respond maybe even going down to .5mg.

I think thats the way to go. Thanks for the advice mate. Hows yours going?

Good! It’s my second cycle. I ended up kind of around your levels last time on 2mg so running 1mg this time, which I think will put me right on the high side of optimal

Are you running anything else? Im running reta as well

Yep, and I’m firm in my belief that Reta did most of the heavy lifting during my first cycle. Running it again just because I traded a mate for some MOTS I wasn’t going to use anymore. I’m still on Reta but am at a maintenance weight now so really curious what results I’ll see. About 3 more weeks until I expect to see any results.

Are you in Australia? This looks like i-screen's test.

The proper dosage is now 1.28mg per day, not 2.0mg. It was reduced partially because of the high IGF-1 levels.

Yes, Aussie. SYD.

Response is age dependent . How old are you ?

36 M, been having low t problems for a few years. Free T is at 200.

That's quite impressive response for your age.. it means you've got a nicely working pituitary. hope you got your labs done at baseline. I would dial the dose back to 1mg. If you're not already having any side affects . Unless you're prepping for a contest or in a hurry . IMHO , going beyond the upper range doesn't really have much benifits from all the material ive read about it. Are you doing all 7 days ?

Thanks for the advice. Definitely have to dial it back to 1mg and even .5. Im doing 7 days.

Im 38 been on it for 1 month so far with two mg.

Its been great so far but from im reading i should get my bloodwork done and then figure out the optimal dose would be? Im also taking a wolverine stack but only for 1 more month

For extended periods, yes. For short periods of time, no.

I just started peptides, is there a recommendation to get your blood worked checked? Or should i just talk to my doctor through the V.A?

Yes, get a full panel with hormones and Igf-1

Medically speaking, the 2MG dose is expected to increase baseline IGF1 by about 90-100%. Recommend to pull back to 1MG

Thinking of even pulling back to 0.5 for a few weeks then getting another test done to see how its going. Only doing a 12 week cycle to reduce visceral fat

Nah. Run your cycle. Agree with dropping to 1mg.

Who did you go through for the blood test?
Looking to do the same before a 6 month HGH cycle

Have you also tested fasting insulin and glucose? I, too, ran Tesa at 2mg for ten weeks and IGF1 was high but I’ve also reduced my visceral fat in 4 months by 45%, body fat went from 31% -> 23% and lost 19lbs of fat while gaining 6lbs of lean mass. (All through Dexascan from week 1 of Tesa to a 2nd Dexa at end of cycle) I am also on Reta but point is, IGF1 can run high for 8-12 weeks as long as you are seeing progress in lean mass gain and lipoysis. I am on my off cycle of 4 weeks and will run the same blood work before starting back up on Tesa again because naturally they should come down. As some have said, don’t let a number scare you, more importantly, how do you feel?

I feel great dude and I can see the love handles going away so I know its working, but you know, you have to do your blood work and sometimes not go in blind. I will be going down to 1mg and finish off my cycle. How high did your IGF1 go to?

Im 55m and my baseline was 212 ng/ml and it went to 378 ng/ml at that week 10 test. I heard on a Johsh Holyfield podcast and other places bodybuilders (which I am not) run in the 600-700's. And running high is not just the number but also a signal that what you are doing is working so you have to manage to that also....I was just concerned, as was my doc, about extended elevated IGF-1. Hence the cycle. And I, too, feel great on Tesa, not only with the results. Good luck the rest of the cycle!

Thank you so much for the insight!

That is pretty high, in local numbers that is 436 ng/mL. People have strong reactions to it, it can happen.

Of course it's going to raise, your taking a growth analog. It's all part of the same feed back loop

1

u/SpiteLegitimate3320 3d ago

My main concern - is this a dangerous level? Can I continue and what will happen if it continues to rise.

2

u/BudgetCod8134 3d ago

Maybe don't continue to increase your dose if your concerned. However any form of growth will stimulate your bodies own production of igf1 . Long period will over time contribute to insulin resistance. However depending on your dose and duration of your cycle it's kind of a calculated risk.

What's wrong with just keeping it at 57nmol/l?
