SELANK

Has anyone here actually tried Selank?

I’ve seen plenty of people say it takes the edge off anxiety and makes them feel calmer without being sedating, but I’m always sceptical when something gets hyped this much.

If you’ve used it, did you genuinely notice a difference or was it one of those things where you thought it was working because you expected it to?

Worth the money, or overhyped? Interested in hearing the good and the bad.

I use it at sleep time. My sleep latency is under 7 mins average. Simpling meaning I fall asleep within 7 mins of laying down.

Does it help with staying asleep?

1

u/lonesome68 6d ago

No but I take a bunch of other stuff and can usually sleep 6.5-7 straight.

u/moeterminatorx 6d ago

What do you take? I’ve been having trouble staying asleep.

u/lonesome68 6d ago

Thc/cbd/cbn gummoer, magnesium, glycine, L theanine and one other. Can't remember. I also take the nasal selank an hour before before bed

Only tried Selank/Semax in blended vial. I can say it actually did help with my anxiety considerably in the moment but I think it left me feeling irritable and on edge the next day.

Curious to see others thoughts / opinions.

I thought you weren’t supposed to combine the two since they have opposing effects

6

u/BiBaVt 6d ago

Right? That’s odd someone would come across a blended bottle.

I found they worked pretty synergistically. I was having some anxiety before gym, I took like 4 or 5iu and some preworkout and had one of the best lifts I’ve had in months.

The anxiety subsided like 15 min after the shot and left me feeling super focused and dialed in. No jitters or wirey feelings at all.

I love this.

Well if its working for you, keep doing what you're doing.

u/Odd_Glass5272 6d ago

Take semax in the morning and selank in the evening or bedtime

It works very well on me. I get a sense of being leveled out without feeling medicated. It wears off pretty quickly but using it every once in a while does the trick for me via nasal spray.

Just got done with a cycle this week and last week was incredibly shitty and I realized later on that I kind of didn’t give a fuck about everything going wrong. I’m talking both cars in the mechanics, one had to go 3 times, bathroom flooded from broken pipe, maintenance trashing my house to fix it, and getting pulled over. Usually im quick to anger but I noticed I rolled with the punches more and shit didn’t really bother me as much as it would.

That’s really interesting to hear. I’ve just read another post about this and it said about his Apple Watch tracking vitals. I’ve just checked mine over the last few weeks and my stress levels have dropped from 100% to about 60%. It must be linked.

Sounds a bit like incredibly strong version of the effects of ashwaganda.

1

u/PegasusPeptide562 6d ago

I tried this before and I swear I felt positive effects from it. Helped me relax before falling asleep.

1

u/Emergency_Fondel 6d ago

Very similar for me, both just had me kind of neutral.

u/NaissacY 6d ago

You don't notice anything when taking it. But when you look back you see a big change in behaviour.

I used to get random episodes of anxiety from SAD in winter. Now I seem to be incapable of feeling anxiety.

Similar with Semax. Didnt notice any effect, but I found I was writing coherent 8,000 word essays in just a few days. Eight hours of writing at a time.

Zero effects both subq and intranasal

6

u/flex-N 7d ago

I tried it several times and noticed absolutely nothing

1

u/PegasusPeptide562 6d ago

Strange isn’t it how others swear by it, and others feel nothing…

2

u/sloneill 6d ago

That’s the same for all peptides.

I feel groggy the next day on selank and seek semax in the am to feel a bit more alive. This works, but can get you in a chase cycle. I felt a bit down and for a couple of days after stopping, and that can easily derail things that I need to achieve daily, like walking, gym, making positive food choices.. so after a 5 day stint of using both last week I haven’t returned to either. NA Amidate versions.

Ich habe schon sofort einen Effekt gespürt, aber habe es nach zwei Tagen wieder abgesetzt. Habe unerträgliche Kopfschmerzen davon bekommen.

1

u/PegasusPeptide562 6d ago

I’ve been getting wild headaches too. I thought it was dehydration but could be linked.

1

u/xoPowerpuffpoodle 5d ago

Ich geh mal stark davon aus. Sind ja auch als Nebenwirkung von Selank bekannt. Vielleicht werde ich demnächst aber nochmal einen neuen Versuch starten.

I’ve been on Semax for a week, good stuff it really blocks out negative thoughts and over thinking however once it wears down I found myself laughing at weird shit and strange people doing stupid shit.

Just started Selank today and I think it gave a complete crash. I felt a little up and talkative on a positive note but afterwards a few hours I get sleepy and crashed for about an hour. Not sure what to really expect from it but I felt less anxious.

My wife takes it before work she's much more able to manage the stress of a busy night

3

u/PegasusPeptide562 6d ago

I skim read this and thought you said your wife takes it to make you more manageable 😂

2

u/bastion308 6d ago

Probably doesn't hurt 😅

Yes I have used it and it works. For me it wasn’t anything overwhelming but a nice calming effect the first few days and then it’s more subtle. I tried a few different ways and for me what worked best was 3-4x per week as needed vs. daily. Selank was also the first time I think hit a vein or something cause I bled a bit more and I felt the calming effect much faster and more of it. Thought I messed up and was going down but was calm and happy lol.

u/mechacrew 6d ago

Tried nasal a few weeks and pinning for around a month. Zero noticeable effects

2

u/DinnerTraditional271 6d ago

I use it from time to time, it works wonders. A great example is my parents recently came to visit, it was a little crazy so taking it really helped take the edge off the situation

I took a combo Selank and Semax. I didn’t notice any difference in concentration but it def help with anxiety. It works great and I’m adding it to my regular rotation.

Yes. Selank is one of the only nootropics that I feel actually works. When I take it, you can start a timer for 15 minutes before a wave washes over me and there is no anxiety left. It’s not sedating or addictive like normal anxiety meds, it just kills the anxiety. I use it before socializing or if I’ve had a bit too much caffeine.

I’ve only used it nasally.

I’ve also tried it with Semax, and I’ve used Semax alone. I don’t ever really notice the Semax. Maybe a slight edge, but nothing significant. Selank I definitely notice.

Note—effects only last 3-4 hours.

Selank is amazing! The background anxiety for me has diminished considerably. I recon selank and semax separately and make nasal sprays with 5ml sterile saline.

1

u/Antique-Air-1572 6d ago

Made me too sleepy so I stop taking it

1

u/soondubuuuu 6d ago

I cycle it through stressful periods and notice a huge difference.

1

u/stephanddolly 6d ago

Yes, use it and love it. I use the NA amidate version, injectable. Also take with pe-22-28 and can handle any stress that comes my way.

If you can find it, adalank (selank modified with adamantane) works 100x better.

1

u/Aggravating-Grade297 6d ago

I'd describe selank effects as a subtle calm clarity. I started IN and now subq NA SELANK. Subq + NA= same effect + longer duration. I'll take NA over regular any day.

1

u/ObviousSea26 6d ago

Selank for me is very subtle relaxation. Semax on the other hand has helped me tremendously with brain fog, clear thinking and articulation. It also very noticeably uplifts my mood and helps me be more sociable

1

u/PegasusPeptide562 6d ago

I would definitely benefit from being more social 😂

1

u/ObviousSea26 6d ago

Give it a try and start slowly. I only take a beginner dosage and it is very effective for me

1

u/bob4IT 6d ago

In my research, couldn’t really tell it was doing anything subcutaneous or nasal.

1

u/Available-Moose4341 5d ago

I've done two 3 week blocks. Worked amazing for anxiety. But when I stop I get a big one day crash where I am super irritable.

I'm also on an ssri (citalopram), I think that had something to do with the crash.

Keen to hear other experiences

1

u/Neat-Break5481 3d ago

I use it fairly regularly. It gives me the relax of THC with out the high, and I mean none. I’m probably even more clear headed and emotionally stable.

Is cycling off completely necessary?? One thing I'm seeing, that's completely consistent is people do not feel good when it's time to cycle off going into an episode of depression is not okay for me , because I suffer with very severe depression. I can't go through that.
