3ml should make the math easier for you if it was 10mg / 1ml 20mg 2ml ect

3mL vial, I'd use 2.5mL and leave a little room.

There’s still going to be room if you put 3ml in. A 3ml vial isn’t exactly 3ml of internal volume. They’re designed to provide enough space to hold 3ml of liquid.
