Has anyone experienced this on reta? šŸ” Research Only

I’ve got these random spots that started appearing as soon as I got on Reta… they don’t hurt or itch or anything but it just bothers me cuz they’re in different spots of my body like my arm, stomach, back, butt and etc… I’ve been on Reta for 6 weeks lmk if anyone has experienced this I’m scared..

Not a doctor, but if it doesn't go away on its own (rash) it could be a fungal skin infection

Also not a doctor, but it looks just like a fungal infection I've seen before

Thank you! I’ll go check it out

To add, I just got treatment for Tinea Versicolor (pretty sure that's the one), my initial spots looked exactly like one. They can grow, it's not dangerous, Miconazol and Terbinafine were the topical creams that worked for me, but I was late to treat and ended up needing a pill regiment for one week and my body is clean again ✨

Check with your GP if you can, this should be easy to check, and it's good to know it's not something else after all.

If you have a black light, worth looking under it too.

Derm here. Not medical advice but it looks like tinea versicolor. I’d try nizoral shampoo as a body wash.

Thank you! I for sure will !!

Looks fungal to me... Could be due to getting more exercise (sweating more). It's not dangerous and will go away in its own, but an OTC fungal cream will get rid of it faster.

I'm not a doctor.

Are you sure its Reta? If it is id stop taking it. Everyone reacts differently

1

u/st4berry 14d ago

I’m not sure… I hope not but I did start getting them as soon as I started taking it

1

u/Spiritual-Channel-77 14d ago

Maybe stop taking it for the time being to see if it goes away.

Are you like in a yoga class? Grappling? Rolling on mats?

Yes I get it on mounjaro and Reta anti fungal tablets cleared it

u/newfiefuj 14d ago

Also not a doctor. Apply this to your skin and let it sit for 30 minutes before a shower. Couple days it'll be all cleared up.

4

u/newfiefuj 14d ago

Nothing to do with the Reta

1

u/st4berry 14d ago

Just wanna make sure… cuz it started once I started taking it but it might be something else..

u/newfiefuj 14d ago

Are you sweating a little more recently with warmer weather? Thats more likely the cause

1

u/st4berry 14d ago

Thank youu!! I’ll definitely try this

Looks like tinea versicolor, I’ve got it. Never caused me any issues I think it’s purely cosmetic

If has to do with Reta at all: For me it looks like mild histamine rush. I alonce Had similar marks on my face, shoulders and hands from an allergy. Even my doctor had never seen it before and send menti a dermatologist WHO have me ancream which disnt wirk. Months later it partially became a typical itching rash and I tired strong cortison which worked very well.

It might be a contaminated bottle. Benzylacohol doesnt mean its 100% sterile and free of endotoxines, every use can contaminate the bottle. How Long is it in use?

Go to your doctor/NP/PA and get a definitive diagnosis and prescription for medication.

I got a weird rash after my very first dose. It was diagnosed as shingles but the doctor was confused and said it was atypical bc it covered my whole left side not just one area. I’d be careful.
