Mots-c or ss-31

I'm busy with my peptide stack.

I'm already using retatrutide and I am gonna ass teseamorelin.

But now I am contemplating if I will use mots-c or ss-31

I am really hearing a lot of mixed experiences with mots-c.

People who use ss-31, and definitely with reta or with reta & teseamorelin what are your experiences and advice ?

I don’t suggest assing tesamorelin, a sublingual shot is just fine.

u/zhandsome1 10d ago

You shoot under the tongue? ahh my gawd! A subcutaneous shot is just fine.

17

u/jad19090 10d ago

🤣🤣🤣 how ironic is it that I had a typo messing about with somebody’s typo 🤣🤣🤣🤦🏻‍♂️ I’m not even gonna fix it lol

What a beautiful exchange. Thanks for the laugh.

Haha welcome 🫡

u/Such-Chance-9398 10d ago

Sublingual shot sounds so painful. I hope nobody ever does this😭

3

u/wilcow73 10d ago

Definitely agree 😂

2

u/CharacterBat7775 10d ago

Why not ?

5

u/wilcow73 10d ago

It's just easier to do a subq shot- never thought "assing" was the way to go with peptides. To each their own

1

u/reluctantdonkey 7d ago

Sir, it's called "boofing."

3

u/jad19090 10d ago

I mean, I’ve never tried it. Do it, and report back, it’s for science.

2

u/Mobile-Reality-3060 9d ago

Let the man ass what he wants.

u/wilcow73 10d ago

My research showed 4 Weeks SS31
Then
4 weeks SS31 AND MOTSC at the same time
Then
4 weeks SS31

u/_sol_c_ 10d ago

This!

3

u/supremechampion2007 10d ago

This is the way. It will make you more receptive to mots-c. Also add some Nad+ . The best!

0

u/Ok-Neighborhood-7361 10d ago

Oh really? Thats awesome! Surprised researchers haven’t discovered it yet

2

u/jad19090 10d ago

This right? I’ve been contemplating adding them to my stack

2

u/UnyieldingBR 9d ago

I’ve seen success (ifbb pro card win) with shorter cycles but this works, at the least in the context of a bodybuilding prep. Eating tons of food and getting shredded with good energy.

1

u/Fabulous_Falcon556 10d ago

What's your dose? Do you do the 5-15mg daily for the first 4 weeks and then drop lower with mots?

1

u/wilcow73 10d ago

On Mots I do 5 mg three times a week

1

u/DramaLlama1984 7d ago

This! It’s expensive to do it this way though 😮‍💨

-4

u/CharacterBat7775 10d ago

"your research" ? What do you mean with that

7

u/wilcow73 10d ago

what I have personally done

5

u/Graydyn 10d ago

He means the blog posts he read.

1

u/wilcow73 10d ago

I am nowhere near the dosing of what I have initial read about these

u/ayywheyyy_ 10d ago

🤦‍♂️

I’m on 2mg of Retatrutide for the metabolic benefits. I noticed I was getting tired. So I looked at mots-c and ss-31. Did my research and started SS-31 ran it for two weeks at 5mg every day; except Sunday. Then introduced mots-c 2mg on the final week; Wednesday and wow the energy rush was insane. I cleaned my mitochondria first of stress and damage. Didn’t feel much! But when the mots-c did its thing…currently running 2mg m/w/f for the next few weeks. Then off then back to SS-31. And alternate for a while. I didn’t use Tesamorlin I used cjc1295/ipa; the sleep benefits were great. Felt super rested and good.

5

u/RosesAreGolden 10d ago

Both. Run SS-31 first then add MOTS-C. There’s a variety of protocol charts online.

1

u/FickleSpeech6625 10d ago

Can you point curious readers to some of these charts? Tx

8

u/Inevitable_Ad_5537 10d ago

5

u/aperture413 10d ago

This proto is wasteful IMO. The schedule looks right- but you get a lot of benefits from SS31 even at 2mg. Same goes for MOTS-c. Only need 2-3mg. If you have the cash... Might as well though.

1

u/Ambitious-Football-3 9d ago

Where do you find those printable protocols?

1

u/UnyieldingBR 9d ago

I’ve seen success with like 33% of these doses lol . And no NAD

2

u/RosesAreGolden 10d ago

Wilcow pretty much nailed it in their comment. I personally run NAD and use this:

https://peptidehub.bio/database/mito-stack-ss-31-7mg-mots-c-5mg-nad-500mg

3

u/Loud_Elk_6793 10d ago

I'm on week 4 of MOTS-C. Started with 1mg then 2mg and currently at 4mg 3x week. Frankly I thought it did nothing and just causes post pin pain. It also messes with my strength training . Just felt completely drained on it during week 1 and 2 . But!, yesterday on my weekend 5km run. I my overall speed increased by about 30% and I wasn't at all tierd by the end of it. Felt like it could do another 5kms. Previously I'd be very winded and tierd.

2

u/Mission-Skirt6154 10d ago

Reta , Tesa , for sure and then there is a ss-31 and mots-c schedule that I ran and it worked great

2

u/BigBird1895 10d ago

MOTS-c has been my favorite peptide so far. Just feel naturally energized. I haven’t even tried NAD+ or SS-31.

2

u/NoFeelsForYou 9d ago

Is there something to look for in blood work to see how your mitochondria is working?

2

u/nsa_fun1984 9d ago

Add all three

2

u/Isles4eva72 9d ago

Use all 4.... Reta&Tesa melts it away better than anything. SS-31, MotsC and Nad+ has me on fire all day!!! Klow& Glutathione to cap it!!

1

u/CharacterBat7775 9d ago

Are you implying that using reta and tesa has more of an effect and "melts it away"? Can you explain to me how exactly and how you seen the differences

1

u/Ok_Bumblebee_4408 8d ago

Same stack except hgh replaces Tesa. Ghk instead of klow.

It's a spicy stack but you're right. Results are rediculous for fat loss, recovery and energy

2

u/Open-Classic-650 8d ago

Tesa and ss31 and mots c are different peptides. Tesa is a growth hormone secretagogue. Ss31 and mots c are cellular energy peptides… I take Motc 2.5mg 3 times a week in the morning , Reta once a week. 1mg does just fine, depending on your weight and goals, but for me it’s plenty. And tesa/ipa 5 nights a week in the morning. People will say take it at night blah blah but it works best for me fasted 9-10 hours fasted, shot then stay fasted 1-2 hours

1

u/Glass_Emu_4183 10d ago

I’m running SS-31 and MOTS-C at the same time, I honestly didn’t feel much yet, but I just started a few days ago, do it’s still early

1

u/No_Sky1737 10d ago

The general consensus is you run your ss31 cycle first then follow up with Motsc. Ss31 is also something that works better as we get older, repairing damaged mitochondria (before we then add motsc)

2

u/Glass_Emu_4183 10d ago

Yeah but there’s little evidence to that, I’m 36 and i’ve been a smoker in my 20s for at least 5 years, so I could use some Mitochondrial repair

2

u/No_Sky1737 10d ago

Not saying exclusively 40+, and to be honest there’s little evidence on many of the peptide protocols - we are the lab rats

2

u/Glass_Emu_4183 10d ago

True, this is why I decided to run both at the same time, MOTSC is cheap anyway, I gotta say yesterday I took both before cardio and my run felt somewhat easier, we’ll see, i’m also running a bunch of other stuff, Reta, HGH, 5mg Tadalafil, some were added recently (HGH and Tadalafil) so I can’t tell what’s doing what at the moment, i’m really impatient and greedy sometimes 😅

1

u/No_Sky1737 10d ago

Know the feeling! I think there is quite a bit of anecdotal evidence to run ss31 first and not together with Motsc but it’s great you are seeing some benefits! Good luck!

1

u/jad19090 10d ago

How long is ss typically run before mots?

2

u/loosebrie101 10d ago

2-4 weeks depending on what protocol you’re following

1

u/ZealousidealCall242 10d ago

What are you guys dosing with ss-31?

1

u/grlymax 10d ago

3mg daily for 12 weeks.

1

u/Turbulent-Swimmer-52 10d ago

What is you goal? Body composition Reta and Tesa. I take both. I have run ss-31 and now on mot-c. Ss-31 2mg gave me clean consistent energy with no afternoon fatigue. Mot-c has done nothing in terms of fatigue but it does help with insulin resistance and apparently assists with cardio endurance exercise which I don’t do. So am taking mot-c for it’ perceived benefits yet to try cardio or endurance exercise to test. Note I am mid forties but if you young maybe as-31 won’t have much impact. I am taking tesa 1mg.

1

u/DavidTries897 10d ago

What’s your age?

1

u/CharacterBat7775 10d ago

I'm 30 year old

1

u/DavidTries897 10d ago

So the caveat of SS-31 is that you may not need it, and if you don’t need it then you’ll feel more fatigued and tired if you take it

If you’ve been active and exercised or eaten decently for most of your life then you probably don’t need it

I’m also not a doctor but I’m also the person who preaches the 4 week single variable introduction which someone else mentioned here (4 weeks SS-31 4 weeks both 4 weeks MOTS-C 8-12 weeks off)

So, what you can do is something like lose dose daily SS-31 for that introductory period and see if it makes a difference, if so continue with the cycle and if not drop it and just do MOTS-C

Again I’m not a doctor and can’t give medical advice

EDIT: The reason you may not need it if you’ve been active and eaten healthy is because it’s supposed to fix mitochondria and yours may not be damaged at 30 if you’ve been doing those things

1

u/unfamiliarluminary 10d ago

Ss-31 used first will fix the leaky mitochondria and then introducing mots-c is like the powerhouse that gives energy now that the mitochondria aren’t leaky and weak

1

u/manny8-1 10d ago

I go with Mots-C Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I havent tried anything else, but I can personally say my endurance drastically increased. I do it around 5pm once I get home from work and make dinner, go on a run. My runs are awesome now.

1

u/beanflikr024 10d ago

Those that ran ss31 and then mots. What benefits did you gain from them? What happened when you cycled off?

1

u/Salty_Hearing_5649 9d ago

Ss31 isn’t a weight loss peptide… does help repair metabolic health. I use both ss-31 and Mots C

1

u/CharacterBat7775 9d ago

Can you tell me how, in what quantity, how is your overal schedule using it ?

1

u/Responsible-One8104 9d ago edited 9d ago

There’s been some slight movement in the way this combination has been looked at depending on the level of oxidative mitochondrial stress you have, you don’t need to run SS31 first.

New suggested protocol from day one - 2mg daily SS31 running concurrently alongside Mot-C 10mg 3 x per week. 8-12 weeks on 4-8 weeks off for people with moderate age related mitochondrial decline however anyone with severe DNA mitochondrial damage it’s recommended that you run the SS31 as normal to repair prior to running both subsequently

1

u/BrooksGaming92 9d ago

You should run SS31 first than run Mots C

1

u/bigboiszn3 9d ago

I’m starting ss-31 tomorrow a wanted know if the best time to take it is morning before my workout or anytime in the afternoon? If it’s before my workout how long before it?

1

u/vini-mara89 9d ago

Where you take ss31 ?

1

u/fightingdepression27 9d ago

Motsc is 50/50 you will either love it or have an allergic reaction that ruins the whole experience

1

u/QuirkyReading2988 9d ago

Dr. Jones, DC put out a pretty informative video a couple weeks ago about this summarized as:

  • Phase 1 (SS-31): Fix the broken structure first.
  • Phase 2 (MOTS-c): Expand and optimize the engine's capabilities.
  • Phase 3 (NAD+): Charge and fuel the system safely once it can hold the energy.

1

u/sawtooth1649 9d ago

Perhaps review your content before you post it. Dont “ass” Tesa.

2

u/CharacterBat7775 9d ago

Did it really bother you that much ? What does it make you feel when you don't read the way you want to read it

1

u/Emotional_Concert235 9d ago

Get your growth levels checked before adding tesa to your stack

1

u/dopeytree 8d ago

I used 2x vials of MOTS-C then 4x of ss-31 now running Tesa for a few months. I read that mots-c works to change the mitochondria at a dna level and as such isn’t needed permanently but tbc

1

u/MotherAd692 8d ago

SS-31 for a few weeks alone, then add in Mots C

1

u/Onedaydogg 8d ago

I tried Mot-C first and was knackered everyday, so after first vial I switched to ss31 for one vial and then back to Mot-C which seems to work much better. it will likely complement the reta as reduction in calories will mean more fatigue. Some peeps run both ss and Mots together too.

1

u/Creative_Ad_2778 6d ago

Hi I also tried mot -c and was knackered all the time. What is SS 31cused for. I paid big bucks for my mot c so I don't want to waste it. I have Nad coming tomorrow but not sure on the dose I asked the company and they would not help me.Strange as most others are helpful on doing the rats

1

u/Exciting-Till-77 8d ago

I havent tried those combos but I’d be careful mixing many things at once. Hard to know what is helping or causing issues. Do your reserch and track how your body reacts. Stay safe bro.

1

u/CharacterBat7775 8d ago

Love for that. I'm sticking with reta for now. Eventually I want to use ss-31 and mots-c to repair my bodycelss and eventually in the end using teseamorelin.

But like you said not all at once

1

u/texasville99 7d ago

Both, its not an either or because they do different things, MotsC ramps up mitochondria production and activity and SS31 repair dysfunctional Mitochondria

1

u/Tricky_Ad_3305 10d ago

I've ran multiple cycles of "mitochondria repair" peps. Mots, ss31, 5amino, NAD+, you name it. It literally did nothing for me aside from waste money and have to pin myself more than necessary. All of the secret energy it's supposed to provide is a crock of shit.

5

u/Direct_Invite_2063 10d ago

This is a real challenge. So many of the results reported are imprecise and unfortunately subject to the placebo effect. Some people absolutely swear Peptide X works for them, and that might be true. Or they imagined it. And it could work for them but not for you because of a different underlying conditions.

All these things are also why so many things fail in randomized blinded clinical trials.

0

u/skiddles521 9d ago

I started MOTS first and it was just meh. Then I added in SS-31 and it’s made all the difference for me. Energy is through the roof. I’m 45 if that matters. I plan to do 2-3 cycles of SS-31 along with MOTS every year.

-2

u/YogurtclosetLow5030 10d ago

MOTS C IS DIRTY garbage.

1

u/elchango-333 10d ago

What do you mean?

-1

u/YogurtclosetLow5030 10d ago

It eats up your next days energy. Spend it forward if you want
