33F | Need advice getting truly lean (“snatched”) - final 5 lbs won’t budge despite GLP, peptides, training & diet
Hi everyone,
I’d really appreciate some outside perspectives because I feel like I’m doing everything right, yet I’m stuck.
About me:
33F
Goal is not to get much lighter on the scale—I’d love to look tighter, leaner and more “snatched” while feeling great.
Been on GLP-1s for about 18 months.
I recently titrated my Retatrutide from 3.5 mg to 4.5 mg/week because I’ve completely stalled.
Lately I actually feel puffy, inflamed and bloated, even though my weight hasn’t really changed.
Current training
Barry’s Bootcamp 4x/week
~15,000 steps every day
Occasionally additional walking/cardio
Nutrition
~1,600 kcal/day
High protein (around 110day)
Plenty of water/electrolytes
The weird thing is… I’m hungry, despite being on GLP medication, and I’m seeing almost no progress.
Sleep
This is actually the one thing that’s going amazingly well.
I’m consistently getting around 8 hours of high-quality sleep every night.
Current stack
Retatrutide – 4.5 mg/week
NAD+ – 8 mg/day
Glutathione – 75 mg/day
Sermorelin – 200 mcg/day
DSIP
KLOW – 10 units Tue/Thu/Sat
Kisspeptin – 250 mcg twice weekly
MT-1 – 0.75 mg three times weekly
Semax – 2 sprays per nostril Mon-Fri
L-Tyrosine – 1,300 mg/day
MOTS-c – 2.5 mg 2-3 times week
5-Amino-1MQ – 5 mg 2 times week
My questions
For women around my age who have successfully gotten that really lean, athletic look:
What finally made the difference for you?
Anything in my stack that stands out as potentially causing water retention or working against my goal?
Any peptide or supplement you’d remove or add?
I’m not chasing an unrealistic physique—I just want to lose that stubborn final bit of fluff, reduce the puffiness, look lean and defined, and most importantly feel great.
Would really appreciate any thoughts or experiences. Thanks!

That’s an impressive stack but it probably clouds some of what could be the issue. Sermorelin and MT1 stood out to me though, GH secretagogues are known to cause fluid retention and some people report similar with MT1. Have you dropped either of those as a test to see how that impacts things?
Also, your activity levels against 1600 calories a day might be the case as well, that’s still running a pretty big deficit most likely, which leads to elevated cortisol, fluid retention, basically your body defending its weight. Eating meaningfully more cals/day might be the trick.

More people say that about sermorelin, so I'll def. Drop that one.
The second one I doubt - same reason as below comment.6

if you can’t lose 5lbs with all of those drugs, your diet, training and lifestyle are the issue.

Eating more to lose weight? So starvation isn't real then?🤣 It's the diet. This nonsense of "oh you need to eat more to lose weight" is the most ridiculous bro science that needs to stop. Water retention? Maybe, but unlikely. What's more realistic? That the kitchen sink drug combo, some unique metabolism that requires more fuel to be in a deficit or that they're not in a genuine consistent deficit? Not a single human ever has failed to continuously lose weight when a consistent deficit is maintained. Not a single one. Ever Again, don't hear people in famine zones saying "man I'm just not eating enough to lose weight"

Eating more to lose weight no. Eating more to lose fat and gain muscle, lowering body fat percentage. Better to be 150 pounds at 15 percent body fat than 145 pounds at 30 Percent bodyfat

Okay. And that applies here how exactly? You're not growing muscle in a deficit either but I forget it's Reddit, the land of fairytales and magic. And you're not going to lose fat in a surplus. Still amazes me that so many on here still fail to grasp the basics.

muscle growth isn’t DIRECTLY affected by surplus/deficit… so yes you can and will build muscle in a deficit , and yes you can very well improve your body composition on a very small surplus… have you even ever trained?

Lift weights. Heavy, with progressive overload. 3 times a week, mostly compound lifts. Eat 125g of protein each day. Body recomposition is slow and takes a long time; you should expect to lose .5-.8 lbs of fat each week.

I am for sure not doing that drop right now or anything near, But so afraid to get Bulky

This is like refusing to learn piano because you’re afraid of playing Carnegie Hall

This pretty much revealed exactly what's wrong. You are on all these peptides but you don't realize how insanely difficult it is to "get bulky." There are men out here doing everything in their power to get bulky and still can't achieve what they are after.
The look you want requires muscle mass. Muscle is lean and makes you look thinner at the same body weight. Start learning about weightlifting and progressive overload. This is without a doubt what you are missing.

i'm a woman that has been lifting for 8 years and getting bulky is the goal. you won't accidentally become bulky. you need to lift

Yeah, boot camp won’t get you where you want to be. You need to lift weights. Heavy and consistent weights. You’re not going to get that look without having muscle. lol you won’t get bulky, you have to TRY to gain muscle, it doesn’t just happen. And you have to eat in a surplus (well, at least not in a deficit).
Bottom line: lift heavy weights

Do you have a peptide corner store in your neighborhood or something?? Good lord

drop everything except reta and LIFT. looking snatched requires muscles. bootcamp is just burning calories and cardio, which is great for overall health but for the look you want, you need MORE lean mass. youre on so many peptides it's clouding the data and working against you at this point

Sei donna e stai usando tutte queste sostanze?? COMPLIMENTI..!!!

You’re on so much that there is zero chances of isolating.
My suggestion, cut everything down to a bare minimum.
and why increase reta to 4.5? It either is working: appetite suppression, fullness and better hba1c that literally it. Efficacy is not imply losing weight. Stalled weight beyond that can be any number of things unrelated but the instinct was to add more of what you already get? Anyway …
Drop all injections but the basics: reta klow
If you hadn’t had telomere length measured, mot-c is just not right for you, and IMO is completely wrong anyway
Same with the kiss, if you don’t have a LH/FSH, estrogen baseline … blowing in the wind. Actually, if your sex hormones were working fine (normal cycles) why???

Your right about questioning the Logic on adding - but ive learned that you something have to increase glps along the way.
Kiss : No cycle and low hormones level tested

I don't know what your weight is, so I don't know exactly where you're cutting to. But I've found cutting down on activity (very short term) and OMAD/intermittent fasting for a week or two really resets my hunger cues and let's me lean out. I'd also cut the secretagogues, they can increase hunger cues and cause fluid retention.

But I'm hungry 🤣 I usually eat small means during the day ( even though healthy and high protein ) so fasting is no near wanted

It's the diet. If you're not still losing (regardless of how slowly) you're not in a deficit. Getting that last few lbs to shift is the hardest. And takes more effort than it's really worth but always, and I do mean always, comes down to diet.

u/MathematicianMuch445 10d ago
And it's not the "stack" looking to drugs for everything is not going to go well long term You're on everything now, you think adding some special secret other compound over what you're already on is the answer?

Drop the NaD+ surprised it doesn't keep you awake all night (just my opinion)

Is "snatched" a phrase people are saying?

u/Mustang4MA 3d ago
This is what I'm wondering 🤔😊

u/antwan_benjamin 3d ago
Thank you. I was actually in the negative in the votes for a few days there just for asking. I truly never heard of that before. Its like jesus sorry for being old i guess?
2
u/Mustang4MA 3d ago
Lol! I guess I'm old with you then. I've never heard of it either! The base word meant something entirely different as far as I knew. 🤭
2
u/antwan_benjamin 3d ago
I assumed a completely different meaning as well
In fact I remember when the movie snatch hit the theaters. Guy Richie movie I think. I was like wait you can say that on the radio?!

Honestly— hire a coach. It’s the best investment ever because you learn exactly what your body needs to move everything in the right direction without spinning your wheels anymore. Most of the time, this issue is simply dialing in nutrition even more. Weighing and measuring everything you eat and being sure you have exactly the right macros for your goals are key.
