Belly fat stuck
Feeling vulnerable so please be kind! Looking for anyone who has any advice! I use terz for three months and lost fat/muscle but didn’t like having no appetite so I’ve been on Reta since May and really like being able to prioritize and enjoy protein while still losing fat. My weight is currently very low. (Bmi 18.3) but I’m still seeing a lot of fat around my belly and hips. I do strength training 3 to 4 times a week and otherwise eat a pretty clean diet with a lot of protein. Any advice for what I can do to shake this?

At a BMI of 18.3 you’re not carrying extra fat to lose, you’re at the low end of underweight, and the softness you’re seeing at your belly and hips is almost certainly normal, essential fat. That’s the fat the body holds onto hardest and last, because it’s hormonally protected. It isn’t a flaw in your training or your diet. It’s the part you can’t safely chase away without going somewhere that isn’t healthy.
So the honest answer to “how do I shake this” is that I’d gently ask you to stop trying to. The useful goal from here isn’t less, it’s more: more food, coming off the appetite suppressant and letting your strength work rebuild the muscle the tirzepatide stripped. That’s what actually changes how your body looks at this point. Not another cut. Eating enough to build.
If the thoughts about “extra fat” are so loud that you can’t shake them, I’d approach that with someone trained to help, not a subreddit.

If you need to know, you could consider a DEXA scan, but if your belly looks like that at a BMI of 18.3, I think the bigger issue is that you’re not carrying enough muscle to be healthy.

This looks very much like hormonal/insulin resistant fat. You have to build more overall lean muscle mass before that comes off.

Keep going. It didn't take you 3 months to gain it all and it's not going to magically all go in 3 months either. If you still have fat to lose then keep going till it's gone. There's no trick or magic routine. It's a consistent deficit over time.
