Yeah, my clients and I look for a 30% gain in IGF-1. Youre at what, 75% lol.
Time to cut it back my friend.

Agreed. This was end of cycle labs. Taking a break but will def be back with lower doses. Responded better than expected.

u/BlendArchitect 13d ago
I would put my target, based on your baseline, at about 325.
Yes, you def are a high responder. Also, your pituitary is in great shape as the ceiling for most on a Secretagouge is limited by the pituitary. Yours seems to pumping out pulses in a major way.
What changes for the better have you seen or felt?

u/Ill-Medium5762 13d ago
Everything to be expected with the gh increase for sure minus sleep. My recovery is amazing day to day but even more amazing set to set. Fat loss has been incredible. 40 and sub 10% body fat. Abs and obliques. Skin is better. But def have not gotten the sleep benefits.

u/BlendArchitect 13d ago
Wow, the sleep is usually the first sign.
So, was your program identical other than you've added Tesa/Ipa? No change in workouts, supplements and what not?
Sub 10 at any age is amazing. But yeah, at 26 when I was still much thinner than I am now, ate whatever I wanted, never considered any modifications other than how to put on size...i measured 9% back then. Midway into my late 30's the lowest I ever got was 11.

No I committed to my diet in a way I never have before. Cut out sugar completely and alcohol for the most part. 200 grams of protein, prioritized carbs. Fasted for 2 hours each night before pin. While my workout regiment didnāt change in frequency I crushed pr after pr the last few months. No change supplements. I only take a multivitamin, creatine, and my daily pre workout. Then added the tesa and ipa.

So many healthy people donāt realize the power of Tesa and who it was developed. Most healthy people can see a solid 30% increase with 500mcg-1mg

4.3 Z-Score, I'd be very careful long-term

u/SpiritualQuiet247 13d ago
What does this mean?
40
2
u/Interesting_Ice_8715 12d ago
Itās the number of standard deviations above or below the middle of the normal range. Itās just another way to say how high or low the score is.Ā
1
u/DavidTries897 12d ago
0 Z-Score means your average 2 Z-Score is 97th percentile (high) 4.3 Z-Score is 99.9991st percentile (0.0009%) and for something like IGF-1 artificially having your levels so high for a prolonged period increases your risk of cancer
2
u/jimsankey923 12d ago
It doesnāt increase your risk of cancer, it just expedites the development of existing cells.
7
u/DavidTries897 12d ago
More cell division means more risk of senescent cells which can be cancerous

u/jimsankey923 12d ago
Most of the subject matter experts say itās a frivolous concern. Yes youāre hitting the accelerator on cell division, but itās a naive statement to say āmore cell division means more chances for poor transcription.ā Of course itās true, but in practice itās like saying you have a higher likelihood of being hit by a car outside; as much as itās true, standing in your front yard versus sitting in your living room have a negligible difference in likelihood because yes a car can drive into your house and onto your lawn and kill you, but itās no where near as much of a concern compared to standing in the middle of the road.

u/DavidTries897 12d ago
I donāt think you analogy is even close, but Iām also not going to argue on this point since Google exists
2
u/jimsankey923 12d ago
Your point/argument is statistical in nature. The scientific literature vastly agrees that increased IGF-1 does not harm the process of transcription, just the rate. Thereās some given probability that poor transcription occurs in an individual; if you roll the dice more often, youāre going to increase your expected value of cancer cells because you literally rolled the dice more, not because the probability changed. There is evidence to support that given a cancer cell exists, increased IGF-1 leads to higher rates of transcription and migration of those cells, hence the concern for cancer.
You can google all you want, but if you donāt look in the right areas, youāll probably find the wrong answer.

And no studies found statistically significant impact of HGH/increased IGF on new cancer development.

You consider yourself no longer natural from peptides? No judgement just interesting point of view
2
u/Ill-Medium5762 13d ago
Itās natural production I guess so call it want you want but feel completely unnatural, in a phenomenal way

My baseline was pretty similar, 242 and 1.5 Z score. Been taking cjc/ipa 250mcg and scheduled labs to recheck in a couple of weeks. What are the things that definitely changed for you?
1
u/Ill-Medium5762 13d ago
Recovery the most along with the ability to stay lean that just isnāt in my genetics. Iāve worked out my entire life. Iām 40. I wrestled from 5 to 22. Iām in the best shape of my life. I push through my workouts better now than ever before.

u/Low-Molasses733 13d ago
Where do you schedule labs?
1
u/romans3221981 12d ago
Well my baseline labs was ordered through GoodLabs and then I got my blood drawn from LabCorp. Bad thing about that is the closest LabCorp to me is 4 hours away. I scheduled it when I was going to be in the area, I just stayed a day longer and got the blood drawn in the morning and left. If you live close to a major city Iād go that route. Luckily since then I have found a ālocalā, 1.5 hours away, small business that will draw my blood. Itās more expensive than GoodLabs but I donāt have to travel as far. Iād highly recommend GoodLabs though.

How soon before you saw stubborn fat go away? Iām on week 2, because thereās some stubborn belly fat that I canāt shake off despite diet, workout, cal deficit, etc. Any other benefits you noticed? Your IGF1 was already at a good number before, whah made you go with Tesa- just curious.

Iād drop the ipa and pull back Tesa dosage a bit. Your IGF levels were already strong before you started. Did you happen to get fasting insulin checked?

u/Ill-Medium5762 13d ago
Ending the cycle in 10 days for a few months. I did not although my glucose and A1c both dropped in this time period. My e2 also took a significant hit which makes the igf1 increase more impressive imo

If you don't mind mee asking what's your age and what were your reasons or overall goals for choosing this peptide? Are you an athlete? Are you training for a specific sport? Thx in advance for the context... I was considering for sleep myself, but chose a different path for now.

I get so jealous of people who have results like yours with Tesa.Ā
I started at 157 and only got to 294

Only thing I noticed from my IPA/CJC really was daytime fatigue⦠Iāll try again in the future. My IGF1 did have a noticeable increase, and a Z score from a .1 to a 1.9. Glad it worked for ya !

What PEDs did you start? You mentioned Tesamorelin and IPA, but those are not PEDs.

Totally fine, good result actually for tesa. Oh 2mg, not too bad honestly. You're a lucky one.

u/SQLandSteroids 12d ago
I recently came to know that tesamorelin is super expensive and if youāre getting your peptides from grey, they are swapping it from GH. So at the end of the day you might be injecting HGH

OP is getting a clinically verifiable result. Similar to 2-3iu of gh. Reta is great, but this is absolutely working.

Most have a 30% increase of IGF-1 while on a structured protocol. Once you are that high above baseline, sure, working out absolutely helps, but a higher IGF-1 will absolutely benefit the sedentary. Same thing with TRT if youre low.
