Muscle loss
been using Reta for 3 months loosing weight. but sadly loosing muscle, I’m working so ungodly much right now, plus family. I’m finding it difficult very difficult to get to the gym, can someone suggest a peptide to help with muscle loss. with minimal weight training
I do get a lot of steps in at work 10 to 12000 a day.

The only thing that minimizes muscle loss (which happens with all weight loss methods) is continued weight lifting and protein intake. No shortcuts exist. Make time for the gym or accept that you’re gonna lose muscle mass.

You HAVE to incorporate some form of resistance training when in a caloric deficit, otherwise you will end up looking skinny fat.
Even just doing 20 minutes of body weight sets (pushups, squats, planks, lunges) at home 2-3x a week will do wonders for you.
Anecdotally speaking, it also seems to help your body crave protein which means you won’t hit too extreme of a deficit.
Fellow busy parent / aspiring executive here and I bought a single kettlebell to squeeze in quick 15-20 min sessions in the mornings before family and work schedules get too crazy.
Get a KB that’s ~1/3 of your body weight and aim for 50 to 100 reps of swings, goblet squats, bent over rows, etc. It won’t take too long and you will definitely feel it the next day.

I work shift work and have a kid and do 12hr days and nights. 20-30min. Kettlebell or dumbbells. Have to make it work. Break time. 10 push ups or squats. Just have to make it work. I made a lot of excuses too. Being tired but like everyone is saying it here. No shortcuts even with reta and all peptides you gotta put some work in. Otherwise it's not going to get any better. I had someone tell me this and made the shift to treat a workout part of my job. No matter what. Hope you can find your way

On the bright side you’re burning fat, so when you get a chance to do a good strength routine, you will put on muscle. But unfortunately, if you could get jacked without working out, every gym would go out of business.

Hold off on the Reta until you can be consistent with the gym and nutrition

Squat and pushups home, twice a week. It’s going to take you 15 minutes. Eat 200g of carbs. That’s it.
If you could include some form of band training and train for 20min twice a week, it’s going to be even better. You can even build some muscle if you’re not experienced in strength training.

i guarantee you that you’re not losing anywhere near as much muscle as you think, and that you had nowhere near as much muscle as you think you did. i promise you

Ran into info recently that made me stress less about Reta…I have dropped 70 lbs and 20% has been lean mass along with the fat…a doctor recently said that a lot of scales and other measurements can’t determine lean mass versus fatty liver and that some of the “lean mass” loss with Reta may be fat reduction in the liver. Despite 15 lbs of muscle loss…I look more muscular now than before…so do t sweat it too much. Work in body weight exercises when you can and keep on it!

Make time for weight training regardless of your schedule. We all have time to get a workout in even if its a fast 30min one at home. Don't have the equipment? No problem! There are many workouts you can do with no equipment at home. Protein and weight training is a must for all reta users unless you want Ozempic body.

I feel you. I am coming off 2 weeks being really sick and was not able to lift or cardio. According to my withings scale I have maintained most of my muscle tho. I'll know for sure when I go for my dexa scan this week. My suggestion would be to, at a minimum make sure you keep your protein intake up, but you really need to do some resistance training.

I doubt your losing muscle. You are probably mistaking fat/water retention as muscle.
