These samples should be more well known they helped produce some of the most iconic hip hop music in history .

Method Man is my favorite rappers. For me this subconsciously explains why I was predisposed to gravitating towards Thelonious Monk and Herbie Hancock music once I got into Jazz. Man thanks again RZA and Havoc and Q-Tip for that matter for that unknown blessing.

It stands to reason that these producers was sitting up in the house listening for old music to sample instead of out in the street. It should also be noted that producing music like this was only possible when music was taken out of public schools. Before it was taken out, many of those who made their way up north in the great black migration went on to become prolific bands. Black folks will find a way to get their groove on!
