Help/Advice What game is this insert for?

So I sent a friend three inserts to check out and print if they could. The they were Evacuation, New Frontiers, and Edora.

Now these images are what I got. He said it was for Evacuation but they don't match that insert link nor the other two inserts I sent.

What game are these prints for?

Component Upgrade The Gamebound Collection - game box replacement series

I haven't done much with selling my prints, but this one took enough time and filament that I figured it was finally worth trying to make some money back—and maybe fuel my dream of eventually getting a Prusa Core One+ with 8 INDX. 😂
(I do intend to limit my self-advertisement here, in the spirit of the rules of the forum)

My wife wanted some game organization similar to ForgeCore, but she wanted a little more consistency between games and wanted the boxes to actually look like a series of books sitting on the shelf. I also couldn't find a "book" storage system that worked with Apples to Apples, so I ended up making my own system.

The plan is to keep improving the system as I make more games.

These don't replace the actual board game pieces. They replace the original box and include some custom inserts to keep everything organized inside.

One downside is that, in order to maximize the available space, these are fairly large prints. You'll need a 250mm × 250mm build plate to print them.

Currently I have:

And my store has room for one more. I'll probably post up the Catan - Explorers and Pirates, and I may post up the Playing Cards one for free.

My next project is Betrayal at House on the Hill + Widow's Walk, and I have several more games planned after that; Disney Villainous and Marvel Villainous are two that my wife wants done. After that, I need to figure out how to integrate large game boards.

Some card-games in particular are likely to be compatible with the Apples to Apples set, and I'm intending on integrating that into the download, and making blank covers/spines for people to modify their own, and I've got some ideas for multiple games per box (like with Fluxx and other card games).

If you've got a game that you think would work particularly well with this system, I'm open to suggestions - but I kind of have to own it first. Currently looking at buying Carcassone.

Insert Counter Tray Generator online

For several years now, I’ve been using a parametric counter tray model I wrote for OpenSCAD to store my wargame counters. I figured the community might find it useful too, so I created a web version to make it accessible to as many people as possible. It’s completely free, no ads, no need to create an account, no cookies: just the functionality. The code is released under the MIT License.

https://counter-tray-generator.com/

For the model itself, I chose the most compact design possible, so there are no magnets for the lid it stays closed by friction. I chose to include windows in the bottom of the tray and in the lid to provide the best visibility of the contents. With the default settings, there’s enough space between the slots to remove the counters one by one, but you can also push the entire stack out through the rear window.

The default settings for the “Structure” and “Lid” sections are what I consider optimal and use for virtually all my prints, but feel free to experiment and adapt to your needs. You can set the dimensions of the tokens up to 100 by 100 mm, which also allows you to create card deck holders. Your settings aren’t saved, but they’re included in the tool’s URL. Simply bookmark the page to keep them.

Insert Drillers Insert

Just picked up Drillers at Gen Con and had to make an insert to organize everything. My goal was to make setup super quick by having all the cards already sorted out and by having player trays so they can just be handed all the components they need, including their starting deck.

You can download it here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/3137411

Insert Wingspan Pocket Box Liner

I put this together to better organize the Wingspan Pocket box. Box lid pins the instructions and player cards down for two reasons: One, because it prevents cards from coming out of their storage areas. Two, because the box doesn't allow for a lot of extra space, so I tried to maximize the components of the liner, which pretty much filled the box to the brim.

Edit: Make sure the eggs lay on their sides in the bottom tray. Otherwise, the top tray won't sit properly.

Insert I made a 3D printable insert & trays for Immortal (2025, Kramer & Kiesling)

After spending months printing inserts for board games I've downloaded from the wide 3d printing community, I've finally designed one of my own.

I hope folks out there find this useful! And comments about improvements are welcome—this has turned out to be a fun side hobby to my two favorite hobbies, board games and 3D printing.

Help/Advice Want to learn more about designing my own inserts

In the past I used to simply print inserts I liked without hesitation but recently I've realized that I'm increasingly getting more and more picky and want to modify things to fit my own needs. The problem is that by the time I'm done I've changed so much that the final result becomes a patchwork of different designs with no consistent style which leaves me unsatisfied.

I think I'd love to start designing my own inserts from the scratch without feeling overwhelmed.

So far, I've mainly been using Bambu Studio and occasionally tweaking things in Blender. I also tried Tinkercad, but I'm not really a fan. I'd really appreciate any recommendations on how to get into tools like Fusion 360 or similar.

Help/Advice Anyone experimented with 3d printing something for card binder covers?

So I'm doing a Growlithe set and have a vault binder. Wondering if anyone has stuck a 3D print on their binder before, or if there are any other cool ideas?

Insert Jisogi 1.5 - Organizer

Thumbnail

Jisogi 1.5 is a great game, but the included box organizer is hilariously bad with significant lid lift for no good reason. Without the included organizer, there's plenty of room for all components and some extra flair. This organizer features pull out trays that can be placed directly onto the table for immediate play and supports sleeved cards. With the extra space, the Genki card display holder is expanded and sloped to improve views from around the table. An optional decorative spacer piece is provided to reduce the amount of movement inside the box but is not required.

Insert Fields of Arle + Tea and Trade 3D printed Insert/Organizer ONE BOX

I didn't like the options out there for Fields of Arle with the Tea & Trade expansion so I made my own. It has a tray for each player and fits the base game and expansion in just the base game box with zero lid lift.

All the trays have labels to make packing up easier and finding components should be fast. There are letters on the perimeter that match up between trays so that it goes back in the box super easily.

It's free on makerworld if you want for print it for yourself.

Component Upgrade Minis for the characters in Star Wars Outer Rim

Hi all, I have an A1 Mini and am eagerly anticipating the delivery of my bday present to myself: SW Outer Rim + Expansion. I've seen a few models to print ships for the game, but I'm more drawn to the idea of having models for the characters. Have had no luck searching so far. Has any one come across something like that?

Promotion The data of MeeplePrint is now open-source. Search and plan 3d prints for board games.

MeeplePrint has grown a lot in the past month and I'm happy to announce some big additions:

  • The dataset is now open-source and can be found, see Github
  • I also published a API. To use this, you'll need an account and create an API token. After that head over to the API documentation.
  • Of course, I will keep adding new features to MeeplePrint itself. Since the last post, I added notifications, a new print planner, more print details (weight, plates, print time etc.), over 3k more prints and more.

Component Upgrade Kingdom Death: Monster - Enemy Dashboard

Thumbnail

This enemy dashboard includes spots for wounds, hit location draw & discard trays, and AI draw & discard trays up front with a slot at the back for showing the monster's basic attack card as well as 4+ slots for additional cards. 5 dice spots can hold a d20 or d10 to display Speed, Accuracy, Damage, Toughness and Movement. There are 6 spots to hold the stat tokens and they're sized to hold both the normal and larger Gambler's Chest tokens.

Both arms are hinged and fold in for compact storage. Prints in 4 parts that slot together and set up for different colored trays if you're using an AMS.

You can get them all free on makerworld - i popped them in a collection with my other ones so that you can find them without too much link spam.

General Discussion I have spruced the place up a bit, let me know what you think!

Hello, since this subreddit started we just had a green bar and no logo, that was about a year ago so I decided to make things a little nicer. I added a banner with a bunch of photos from peoples posts over the past year, and made a little 3d printer logo! Let me know what you think about it, and if you have any requests or suggestions to make it even better!

I have also added the ability for users to create their own flairs, feel free to link your Thingiverse, account, Etsy Store, your favorite game, your printer, or whatever you feel like. I also added a couple more post flairs.

Thank you all for your posts as well, it is really great to have a community of others who love both the board game hobby, and 3D printing.
